It is possible to order u bolt separately, but I do not have order numbers
The answer is yes. Any hardware store or nut and bolt shop will have the item. While I wouldn't recommend it, I still wouldn't recommend it. Stacking ubolts of varying sizes may compromise working power, so it's best to focus on stretching ubolts to a larger size rather than extending them.

Until the latching mechanism was adjusted, the user was required to slam the carrier in order for it to shut. It would pose a problem to you if you weren't careful, as the latch wouldn't "catch" One of the main reasons for opening it while driving was that it was convenient! Two times in a row that happened and both times I was extremely lucky not to have an accident! Someone recommended Destaco latches as a solution for me, so I had to find a solution. It was so difficult to choose one among so many options, but after reading reviews, we decided At my local, reliable shop, where I had my Jeep lifted and other stuff done to it (Dedona Enterprises in Yonkers NY), my Jeep was lifted and other stuff was done to it. It only took Jimmy the owner a short time to install the latch. Drilling the holes for my tire carrier was the only real effort I put in. You will need to supply your own hardware since it does not come with any. It all worked out when he got the hardware for me! In the past, I would have been scared of my tire carrier opening on bumpy roads filled with potholes. Now, I drive over bumpy roads with no problem. In addition to installing the latch, there were several benefits as well The rear of the vehicle did not make any noises while I was driving. Rattling was no longer present! As previously designed, I will still close the tire carrier with the original system, but the latch provides an added safety layer as well. As a matter of fact, I might want to remove that old latch and just rely on this new one instead. Definitely a great purchase for me!.
The only thing I wish is there were an easy way to lock it so that nobody could open it. I love them other than that!.
Eventually I welded it it works well and holds everything in place. I installed it two months ago and so far it is holding up fine.
If you decide to weld or secure it to your application, make sure to paint it as soon as possible.
When I upgraded to this latch from a similar one that didn't hold on its own, I had trouble latching it myself. As far as I can tell, it seems pretty solid.
I used these aluminum bumpers for my 100 series land cruiser rear bumper build. It was not bolted or screwed in, it was welded in. I have used it on several trails since being adjusted, and it has stayed snug and secure.
The latches are strong and latch properly since they were welded on rather than bolted onto my heavy equipment tilt trailer. I was able to replace my old beat up clamps with these great ones.
It's a good latch and it works well.
