Only two clamps open at a time with these clamps. 1/8"
Yes, there are three holes in the handle if you slip off the rubber grip. You could punch a hole in the rubber grip of these clips to hang them.
I'm not sure because I haven't seen any data on a test like this for these clamps. I'll say that they're heavy-duty, high-quality clamps, so I believe they'd be able to withstand that high temperature for a short time. I'm not sure what their reaction would be if they were exposed to that temperature for an extended period of time.

The rubber tips do fall off, but these clamps are fine at 21 per clamp. A possible solution is: Remove all of the tips and use a caulking gun to fill the tip cavities with silicone sealant. Return the tips to their original positions and cure overnight. That is all there is to it. I took my time and did a nice job on the 24 clamps, which took about 20 minutes. It's that simple.
The clamps are nice, but they lose a star because of two issues:br>1. The rubber tips (or whatever they are) detach from the clamps with ease.
2. They claim a 3" jaw opening, which I think is a stretch. It appears that the maximum opening is closer to two. 5 inches.
For those thinking about buying, this is just a heads up. These have a 3" opening, according to the description. NO, that is not the case. br>br>I bought these with the intention of using them to join two pieces of standard 2x wood, but they don't work. br>At the very tip of the jaw, the maximum opening is 2. Clamping size that is USABLE is around 2 inches. They are extremely thin. 125br>br> The plastic protectors are prone to falling off. I am aware that these are also very inexpensive. They're fine for light duty use, but they won't open to allow a 3" jaw to be used.
Furthermore, the rubber on the clamping surface wears out over time, which is extremely inconvenient to replace while clamping wet glue-covered items. I also had a couple of clamping surfaces that were bent when they arrived. They still work fine; the metal edge of the clamp digs into the wood more frequently. It would have been better if the vertical edge had been placed on the opposite side of the clamping surface.
To make a solid surface counter top, I needed a lot of clamps with medium pressure. I don't use this type of clamp very often, so I didn't want to spend any more money on a one-time project. I wanted to give these a try before investing more money because of the price. Because I consider tools to be an investment, I always go for the best. These clamps don't have a lot of clamping force, which isn't necessary for most glue jobs. You don't want to clamp so tight that none of your pieces are held together by glue. These clamps worked perfectly, and I now have them on hand to use again, though I doubt I'll need them now that I've completed all of the tops for my kitchen and bathrooms.
Clamping is accomplished with these. The Rubber ends have a tendency to fall off, which is a disadvantage. If this happens, the metal part of the clamps will come into contact with whatever you're clamping, which may result in a metal imprint or slip due to the lack of rubber. I remove and replace these clamps on a regular basis, and the rubber pieces stay in place. It becomes aggravating when you fall off. It is not a problem if the clamps are not removed and replaced frequently. br>br>Raised from three to four stars because a solution exists. Fill the rubber piece with glue to prevent it from falling off.
I couldn't figure out how to keep my dogs' food fresh for as long as possible. I buy dog food in 40-pound bags. Because the bag is designed for the food it contains, experts advise keeping the dog food in its original packaging. Bag clips are typically too frail. These heavy-duty clamps do an excellent job. I open one or two different types of dog food at a time and put the open bags in a large plastic tote. I roll down the top of each bag and press out the air when I'm finished feeding. To keep the food fresh, I put two or three clamps on each bag. When I'm finished, I close the lid on the tote and lock it in place to keep my two Great Pyrenees from getting into it.
These are being used to keep a pool cover in place during the winter months. season. The metal on the jaw tips and handles is still pliable, and the metal on the jaw tips and handles is still like new (though the color is a little sun-bleached). faded). We've had everything from windstorms to freezes to heavy rains to hot sunny days. I am extremely pleased with these clamps and have no reservations in recommending them.
