The old adage of 'you get what you pay for' applies to this product. The price is cheap, the quality is poor. A soft wood must have been used for making the jaws, as there are lots of trees in China where it was made, which must have grown abundantly there. A chipped jaw tip was already visible on one, and a fingernail can be used to imprint the wood. From a distance and from photographs, it looks like oak, but I assure you it is not oak. The good news is that if you treat them gently, they should serve the weekend DIYer fairly well for a few years. This is going to be a recurring theme for me It should help to line the jaws with 1/4 inch oak to extend their useful life.
In my opinion, this is more similar to the wooden clamp I have from Jorgensen rather than the wooden clamp I have from HF. I would have preferred if it were the better clamp at the ATE Pro price but it is the HF clamp instead There is about seven more dollars. Only bought one. Good thing I didn't buy more.
Holding parts for glueing is made easier with this clamp. Autoharps that need to be repaired or modified. Like an extra pair of hands, this clamp comes in handy. My main purpose for it is to serve.
Although both screws work independently, and so can handle tapered objects too, it would be nice if there was a way to control both screws at once so that you can keep the front and back parallel easily if that is Except for that, these clamps are wonderful With its strong grip, deep throat, and wide jaws that leave no surface marks, the drill bit can be used for a variety of I highly recommend this book.
The clamps are good for the price. It may be the China label on the packaging that I missed. In conclusion, I have sworn off purchasing any more goods.
I found this to be very useful, especially since we were building a counter top in a home The counter would not stay up for the glue to dry even after everything was placed on top of it. To allow it to dry, it was held together by this. The counter is so small now that you cannot even see it.
If this clamp is compared with clamps made in the US, it is obvious that the quality is different. While I am confident the Jorgensen and Dubuque clamps will last for the rest of my lifetime, this is something I'm not so sure about.
There is no way this is 10 inches. It is at best 8 inches.
