In short, yes. Nevertheless, it is a decent item as long as it has been shipped properly. I had to replace my first one, because it had some rust from not properly being bagged and oiled during shipping across the sea.
What are your concerns? I am not certain what you mean? The casting is as solid as it can be to achieve the purpose for which it was designed. However, despite the fact that one of the teeth in the casting was not there and it was blue where it should have been, I am satisfied with the quality of the vise for the price. I believe this was an error in casting.
It is held in place by two screws and can be rotated freely 360 degrees when it is

However, I gave the product 3 stars because of delivery issues and not for its performance. I waited 12 days to get my package from the seller (8 days for it to get picked up by the shipping company), then another 8 days to get to In the box were bolts, washers, and nuts that were in a plastic bag that wasn't even sealed, so half the bolts, washers, and nuts were loose. Inflation is increasing in the market, so bids are being pushed downward. This is a heavy steel vise, so of course there were holes where the vise broke through the packaging, however the bolts were still inside. Sellers get a fail from me. As for the vise, it seems well built and is of decent quality. I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to a friend.
I've only had a chance to use the vice a limited number of times, but it has exceeded my expectations. Having the vice head rotated as well as being able to hold round stock is well worth any extra money spent on the device over a simple mechanic's vice. Not to mention the space that is saved by having one vice rather than I will be able to judge the durability of the rotating mechanism after I have used it more and for a longer period of time, but so far, it seems very sturdy As far as I know, it's perfect as long as it works. What makes items like this valuable is how they work over time, and when they stop working, you'll notice it.
When you buy a cheap vise, you get a cheap vise. An image of a hollow vise that looks good on paper but has slop and play when it is moved. This will at least clamp things down. Everything appears subpar with putts and voids visible in a few areas, which indicates the hollow design event will not succeed. It still has casting seams and there are razor sharp edges everywhere. They haven't been painted over, but just covered. The product I ordered was exactly what I wanted This is a cheap vise, which would probably work for a limited time, but I need better quality control if this is the standard. I will return it immediately and invest in a better vise.
It is on my welding bench that I use this vise. I find it to be very useful. It is a good value and is of a good quality. In the description, it states that the lid opens to 6 inches however, it only opens to 5 1/4 inches I did not have a problem with Amazon and they worked with me on it. As a customer, Amazon got five stars for making the process as easy as possible. As long as you understand that it opens to only 5 1/4 inches, it is okay to give this vise a 5 star rating.
Despite having an anvil attached to it, it swivels and turns so smoothly and easily that it is my favorite vise.
The BestEquip 5' bench vise can hold both flat stock and round stock, which was what attracted me to it. In contrast to many vises, the jaws of this vise rotate so that a traditional clamp can be displayed and a pipe clamp can be displayed at the same time. It was a pleasure both to work on and to work with the design and the material used. One thing I recommend is to send longer bolts for mounting it since most benches are thick. This unit is great, and I strongly.
In my case, I disassembled it, cleaned it, and then lubricated It's as smooth as a Swiss watch now. There's a nice tight grip in the vice. Only one negative is that the rotational indicator was slightly misaligned.
Because the movers didn't bring my other one in the move of 140 miles, I can only assume they were more interested in it than I was, along with a few other items that seem to never disappear but didn't make the move from my other house to my new one. The best advice I can give is to never use one This is a fly-by-night moving company that cannot do what they said they would do.
