Does this chisel have the strength to carve ?

As a cold metal tool, the Mayhew Tools 12205 3/4 x 12" Handguard Chisel is designed only to shape and cut cold metal.

The quartz mine is calling to me. you use the tool to chisel into the rock or quartz ?

It seems that this appliance is advertised as a Cold Chisel for metal digging, so I am unsure if it will work on quartz. It might be a good idea to check out chisels made specifically for stone and rock. I wish you the best of luck

With a little trimming of the concrete, I was able to have a straight border, and then added a baseboard to prevent weeds from spreading

As a result, it is working well and has been able to withstand the abuse of being removed in order to redo a better part of our home mortar. This is a great idea- I am confident it is balanced and can handle abuse and chew through anything I throw at It was something I wasn't used to with a chisel, but now I can't imagine how I would use one without it. My work was made a whole lot easier with its breaking up of the impact generated by the hammer and the chisel. This is a really useful.

It's not worth the time or effort

When I was using this during work the other night, the head of the chisel split in half and is now only half of the chisel head left*. Needless to say, I was been razzed by colleagues to no end. The joke that the workers made was hilarious, brutal, and well deserved since it was the first time using the new.

Locally, I could not locate it. been using this quite a lot at work for several years now, to remove cutting teeth from drilling tools with carbide tips. There are days when this thing is beaten up hundreds of times per day, and other days it just sits in a Nonetheless, it has always been ready and we have never had any issues with it. The item was unable to be found locally, so I purchased it here.
