The corrosion resistance of stainless steel is higher. Although both stainless and carbon steels contain iron, which can rust, I prefer stainless because it is more rust resistant.
That is an excellent query. It is possible that this is a good idea. I'm starting my second season and have no problem leaving them in my shed while on the water. Fluid Film is a good rust preventer.
They are appealing to me - They can be used to prune flowers and other plants.

I purchased these after reading the positive feedback on this site. However, I am disappointed when I receive them. They simply have a shabby appearance. The handles and mechanism are made from stamped and rolled steel rather than forged steel. They're held shut and secured by a large rubber band that looks like it won't last and doesn't feel like high-quality, long-lasting rubber. One could most likely do better for the money.
These snips are fantastic for a variety of uses. I was a little unsure about the strap on the handle to keep them closed, but it works great, and the red handles are a nice touch because I use mine a lot. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> The screw that holds them together is not stamped as stainless steel, despite the fact that both sides of the blade are. This is a nightmare for those of us who bleach our snips on a regular basis.
This is the second time I've purchased a pair of Tabor pruners. I'm a flower farmer who harvests for several hours at a time, a few times a week. These are extremely comfortable to hold and clean, as well as being sharp. The only reason I gave it a four star rating was because they began using a fabric-like piece to keep the handles closed. My first pair had a metal wire that was much easier to work with and could be closed with one hand, whereas this pair requires two hands to get the fabric piece over the opposite grip handle. They're an excellent pair of pruners, especially given their low price.
I would recommend these to any home gardener who wants to trim and cut back non-woody plants, grasses, and bushes. I haven't checked to see if Tabor Tools sells pruning shears for light branches and woody plants. However, if they do, I'd place an order for them as well!.
It's effective This tool appears to be of very high quality; incredibly sharp br>The handles could be a little softer. br>The blister packaging was in two pieces, not sealed but possibly opened before? br>The tool was strewn about in the box, but it was undamaged. because of the bubble wrap br>The cost of the tool was a bit excessive.
Sharp to a fault. The nose narrows to a fine point, allowing me to close the cutters and reach a leaf in the middle of a basil plant, snipping it without damaging other leaves. This is my first investment in a high-quality gardening tool, and I am very pleased with it. The blade is razor-sharp and extremely durable.
I only got it a week ago and have already started using it for "indoor" floral arrangements. br>So far, I'm enjoying it! I don't do it all day, so I can't speak to how it feels for someone who does it every day for eight hours; however, it's ideal for me. Very incisive! I like how it's held in place by a strap.
I trim shrubs, perennials, and dead plants. About 20 hours per week are spent professionally on heads. This summer has seen a lot of Boxwood pruning. I adore these, and I'm so pleased with how well they've held up to the thousands of cuts I've made. I quickly ordered a replacement pair after my first pair fell out of my holster and I couldn't find them.
