Although, this is more relevant to the sound deadening materials used for automobiles which are made up of softer asphalt-based materials. In my memory, vinyl floor seam rollers had longer handles and wide/heavy bigger diameter rollers which would require more effort. Vinyl is denser/harder and I believe it would take a lot of effort.
As far as I can see, you can use it for that purpose as well. Other than installing sound mats, this roller might be useful for other purposes as well. The roller is nice by the way, I like It might help if you read this.
There is a low durometer hardness to this material, but it's solid and would need some careful handling. You might be able to cut it with a very sharp utility knife. It is not recommended to use scissors for these items, since they would only be damaged.

In order to roll out the sound on the website, I purchased this product. Those are the mats I installed in my classic car to reduce noise. In this roller, a ball is used It is very smooth because it is made from bearings. This roller is the perfect material for the job, and the wood handle is sturdy and feels good in my hand. Another feature that I was unaware of when I bought it is the curved steel end of the handle, which is great for pressing in those tight corners that the roller cannot squeeze This has a place in your arsenal because it was/is an excellent tool.
It was purchased to be used as an installation of sound dampeners in my Rolling the roller around curves and bumps is made easier by the smooth ball bearing action, and the roller itself has soft material to assist in gliding over them. There's no sign of a problem with the handle. There was no flexing of the handle when I applied sufficient pressure to it. Affects the hand without a problem.
The roller was used to apply sound deadener all over the trunk of my car. Although this method worked well enough, I also bought metal rollers with ridges (rather than this smooth rubber roller) which worked MUCH better at sticking the deadeners. To get this to work, I had to apply a lot of pressure. With this rubber roller, I was able to smooth it out so once applied it looked nicer, but who cares about things In my opinion, the value of this tool relies on what you are using it for.
I found it to be very When I was installing 80mil KilMat in my rig, I used this roller quite heavily and put quite a bit of force into it, and it holds up well. I am 6'5"/270 pounds. Nothing loose on the handle or the The crystal has not warped or bent. Only a few little gouges on the roller head were caused by rolling over sharp edges, etc. This roller is in excellent condition. When installing a pressure-sensitive material such as DynaMat, KilMat, etc. , the $10 is well worth it.
While it is a good roller, it has a definite flaw in its design. There is a slight unbalance between the handle and the roller as shown in the pictures. With this, it is extremely difficult to put a good amount of pressure on the roller without it tipping over. A very light rolling is the only use for this.
It is easy to use, and it is at a very affordable price. The item was exactly what I needed for the job, it arrived the next day and was in perfect condition, just I rolled the roller over my sciatic pain area and was able to relieve it of pain by rolling the roller over its surface. The device is dual-functional, and I recommend it for anybody who wants something that does both.
The rubber didn't crumble up or cut off at all as I applied it to my Chevelle. I don't think I'll be able to break it. I'll be buying it again.
The wallpaper selection was great. A perfectly flat seam roller was exposed on the roller, so the corner snagged only at the exposed end. My old wooden roller rolled much more smoothly on the urethane roller than it did on my old wooden one. In addition to the great price, there was also a large selection. In addition to laying out thinset for tile projects, I have used the smoothers for that purpose.
