Based on my experience using both tapes, I believe the 591 tape is much easier to use because it tears easily by hand, the paper backing can be removed easily, it holds better than 3M double-sided tape, and it does not leave a residue on wood or pull away fibers. When the backing is installed, the product is stiff, making it less likely to stick to itself accidentally. One of the problems with X fasten tape is that once the backing comes off and it touches itself, its hard to unstick it without it deforming. This is a hard material to cut, it's very stretchy, and it has a higher adhesive level than The XFasten tape has been too difficult to use for me as a woodworker making duplicate shapes. So I have three unused rolls I have sat in a drawer. After using Intertape 591, I will not use 3M double sided tape again. I used to use 3M double sided tape but no longer. Thanks for reading
As a first-time user of Fastcap, I have no experience. I did not detect any residue on the hardwood I cut with my bandsaw after using the x fasteners. Cutting four pieces of 3/4 at a time from a pattern, I cut those four pieces out.
I have used no other tool like this I like this product because the cover can be removed easily after use and the packaging is easy to remove. Quite a bit of hold
Three rolls will be provided. Each roll has a length of 36 yards.

tried it three times as I thought it would work for holding down pieces for my CNC machine, but it kept coming undone, causing the piece to move around, and it ruined it every time. I returned it since it was totally ineffective even though it claims to work for CNC work. One other problem I had was that the backing is difficult to remove. The only good thing about this tape is that it has a low profile, but that's not useful since it doesn't stick very well to wood.
With a template, I used it to route edges. I considered all my criteria and found it to be suitable. The backing came off relatively easily, it had a good grip but not too much, and the tape came off in one piece without leaving a residue behind. The film is a little thicker than the one I've used in the past, but there was no problem. Having a slight amount of give shouldn't just allow the tape to grip the pieces, but let it grip evenly across all surfaces. It is made more durable by the cloth embedded in it, so when you remove it, it will not tear. As can be seen from the picture, some fibers have pulled from This was a cheap luan ply and I was prepared for it to be that way. As soon as I had this in the shop, I found other ways to use I have been using it successfully for a while now, and I will keep doing so.
The tape I use for CNC routing helps me hold wood in place. I learned the importance of proper hold-downs (and sometimes a challenge) in CNC routing when I was new to it It is possible for things to go down. It gives me great pleasure to inform you that no piece held by this tape has come loose so far. A downside of this method is the need to work with the putty knife followed by peeling the tape from whatever surface it was attached to in order to remove the machined part from the CNC bed. However, it can be rolled away cleanly from that surface, and the residue left behind is minimal. Reordering tape will be my next step when I run out.
The tape I use most often is SpecTape double sided "pattern" tape, but I ran out. This was ordered with the intention of trying it. The pros are The sticky stuff is good. The pack contains 3 items and is a good value. Cons *BR>I'm not a fan of this product because of the paper backing coming off too easily at times, and cleaning it is not always nearly as easy as I thought it would be. There's no way I'll use this as my primary source of information SpecTape has become my go-to pattern tape or template tape, and I now purchase more. Although I have not yet used the double sided Xfasten tape, I can see how it will help with my overall system. Its main use is for things I need to stick fast but not so precisely. When I find an uneven surface, I add a double, or a triple layer of this stuff. In a vacuum, wood fibers will be pulled up and out as well, if there is not much goo left Therefore, I give this movie an overall mixed review. I don't hate it, but I don't especially like it. The product will probably not be ordered again, but I will use it up.
There are a few things I would prefer, such as a narrower version, and it's too thick to leave in place (which would simplify things a lot), but overall it fulfills my needs.
As expected, this double sided tape works just as well as expected and has plenty to last at least a few months. This product is of the highest quality and has great adhesion to temporarily (I have not tried this for permanent attachment) hold some of the heavier pieces together. As far as I can tell, it has been my second pair of hands when I'm doing all my DIY projects around my This is what I have to say If you wish the tape to provide a better hold, ensure that the area where it is supposed to be mounted is clean and free of loose dust. If the two pieces are to contact each other well, it must have a bit of flat surface. The tape will stick well to uneven surfaces or contours of one piece, but may struggle to hold the second piece if it doesn't match the contour or uneven projections on the first side. As a whole, I find it to be a good product and I recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality double sided tape and at the same time to carry plenty with them wherever they go.
After reading all the great reviews, I thought I would give it a try. really want to like it, but I've gone through all the rolls I bought, and I find it way too bothersome Although it seems to be really sticky, it doesn't stay in place. Apparently it flexes from side to side. I think it might be because the cloth weave loosens, but it's caused me Also, the sticky adheres to your projects and leaves a residue. A razor will come in handy to tear it, as it's not easy to do. In addition, scissors do not cut very well. Furthermore, it is difficult to peel off the backing. Because it is extremely thin, it tears quite easily, so you have to peel off Whatever, I won't be using the white tape rolls since I'm not of the fanatic type.
When it comes to woodworking, I have used a couple brands of double sided tape. I find this tape to be slightly thicker than other brands, but not enough to affect how I use it. As a result of the slight increase in thickness, the holding power is much greater than other brands I've As a result of using this tape, I have not experienced any movement of my boards while using a belt sander, band saw, and even to hold down a straight edge to route against. The glue was so strong that I wasn't able to damage the wood too much during the removal process. I have only found one negative with it, which is that it must be cut with a knife or scissors, as I have not experienced easy tearing from others' stories. Additionally, I have only paid $11-- it's the best deal I've ever had In the case of other brands (same length), the price is $15 per roll. This is a great deal for the price. Because it's so much cheaper, I'm using it more than I ever have before. This is definitely the second time I've bought from you.
