Questions & Answers

How is this different from the Spectape H555136 whose dimensions are the same as this one, but it has an almost twofold pricetag. ?

Two of them are made of paper and two are made of

What if I wanted to stick paper on a cork board with this?

use it on plywood to metal and it sticks well, so I believe it would work fine if the cork board is smooth.

Would the tape be woven like duct tape, or is it fabric like duct tape? There was no red printing on my old tape, it had a blue "spectape" on the inside. ?

There isn't a woven backing to this item. There's nothing rough or paper-like about its backing, like the paper backing on masking tape does.

This is effective double sided tape, but it is paper tape and it would be unlikely to perform well when temperature is high

It's no secret that everyone has their favorite double-headed dog This tape has a backing
4/5

For woodworking, however, you'll need backed tape When routing wood, this tape is by far the best to hold templates in place. Very easy to apply, results in a very thin adhesive surface, and best of all, they leave no sticky residue behind when they are removed. An offending layer can be peeled Those who don't have a favorite tape should consider it (if they don't already have one). There are about 60 pieces in total They were routed there primarily because of the size of the group. This tape has been used extensively and has not caused.

As long as you pay attention to the details, double sided tape is a good choice
5/5

There is no problem with this tape. You just have to make sure all dust is removed from your work piece and template before you get started. In routing that part of the template, there had been a little dust on the tape, and thus the bond failed. As a result, the template shifted a little bit and I ruined a little over 1 In my experience, I had the same problem one other time, but I was able to sand out the flaw. It is very important to be vigilant when it comes to making sure all dust is off both pieces before applying In order to make Adirondack Chairs from African Sapele, I have been using it together with a spiral template bit and some MDF templates I made.

It works very well on light CNC workholdings
4/5

In my role as industrial CNC router operator, I use vacuum tables, vacuum jigs, and occasionally hold and feed machines. The clamps need to be down. Whenever I have tried a heavier piece, I have experienced problems with the hold, a workpiece moving can ruin the job as well as This is dangerous. I tested the machine on 1/2" poplar at 120 ipm for 3 passes roughing (super gentle) at full cutter width and a single pass 0 at full cutter width. A 1/4" carbide compression is used to finish to an 05" finish. A complete lack of movement. Having this tape on hand will be nice in the future for holding light objects. It is still important for me to be cautious and not to make hasty decisions. It's okay!.

This is an easy-to-use tool
4/5

*Adheres well to the instructions. Other reviewers have noted that you have to make sure both surfaces are clean and free of sawdust before using this. That may seem like a no-brainer, but it can be a real hassle when working in a woodshop. In light of these facts, I have given it 4 stars because there is not much room for error. There are two major kinds of glue, either it sticks well or it doesn't stick at all (even though it may make you think In between is nowhere to be found. In the case of a router or CNC machine, the risk of error is already high enough, so it's awful when a tape that you thought was in tact detaches and ruins your workpiece. Having said that, I have used a few other online video-sharing sites I've seen other side tapes, but none of them compare to this. So you don't have to deal with scissors or razor blades when you tear this tape, you can just tear it by hand. When applied to a *clean* surface, it creates an extremely strong bond. Furthermore, it is not harmful to your workpieces or leaves no residue. * I would recommend this tape as a whole. It works well when properly prepared, but you must take care to give the surfaces a good clean before you apply it.

This holds true for sure
4/5

I thought this would be better than CA or blue tape, since it always seems to leak onto the wood when I use them. As I was bandsawing and filing Walnut shelves to make sure they were matching, I read that the tape allowed for some movement, so I taped all 4 edges and thought I was set, but I couldn't separate the pieces, they were too tightly glued I made sure not to damage the edges as I was trying to separate the tape, but to my surprise, it also took chunks of wood, some measuring 1/16". It worked out for the best that they weren't too wide and I could run them through a plane. As a result, we have learned that we should use closed grain wood or use the very fewest number of items.

There are two sides to double-sided tape
5/5

There is no real problem getting it started, but after getting it going just leave a paper tail (don't cut it with scissors or you'll be there 3 days trying to pull it apart). They held so well together that I had to pry them back open with a tool. A piece of plywood and two saw horses were used to construct a temporary workbench. It was a small piece of plywood so I used tape to keep it on the saw horses so it wouldn't fall off, and it looked like one piece of furniture once I got the whole thing on wheels. This tape is very good. I am really pleased with it. It can be challenging to get it going the first time, which is the only con.

It went exactly according to plan
5/5

The holes for outlet boxes had to be machined into a vertical piece of OSB by holding a template in place. As a 'cheat,' I covered the OSB with masking tape, and then covered the making tape with double sided My favorite part of the job was not having to cut the double sided tape, but rather tearing With the way I was conducting the process, I was just tearing the making tape into the desired size. The double sided backing came right off with a finger name, which made that simple. With the help of the double sided tape, I removed the template. As soon as the masking tape was removed from the OSB, I cut it. All that was left was to wash, rinse, and repeat 14 more times. As for the OSB and the double sided tape, I am not sure how they would mix. There is a possibility that the double sided tape was too sticky for it to easily come off. As a result of the masking tape, OSB is protected. Because the process was so simple, I was not concerned about the efficiency of the process.
