Questions & Answers

How do I apply this masking tape if there is no dispenser?

It does not have a There is a problem with the tape though because it is so thin, it tears when it is peeled. When you peel apart more than 2 inches, the paper begins to curl onto itself and becomes useless. As the return time had passed by the time I used, the return time had expired.

Is it compatible with the 3 inch core tape dispensers?

This is a good idea

Do you know if this masking tape can be used to paint over concrete? In order to make my porch look like slate, I am faux painting it- It is impossible to find tape of less than 1". ?

The masking tape I use for painting does not suit me. The blood always bleeds under the edges. If the wound had been on concrete, it would have been more severe. Additionally, I think that other special tapes, like Frog tape and such, would also bleed on concrete due to its rough surface. It takes me a lot of time to paint straight lines using tape instead of a raised straight edge, but I am an artist, so I always use a raised straight edge when painting straight lines.

Are there any issues with this tape sticking to plaster walls?

In terms of adhesion, it has worked on plaster walls, drywall, wood, flat and latex painted walls previously. There's nothing special about this tape it's just masking tape like any other. The blue sticks to your hands, but is much more paper like when you tear it. The blue and green papers rip almost as if they were rubber.

The sticky adhesive might not be suitable for general use
4/5

Labeling things that go to school with our kids is one of the things we do with general purpose masking tape. We have used masking tape before, but this tape has a higher tack than the previous tapes we have As you try to unwind it from the roll, it rips more easily. There is something slightly irritating about this. There are no errors on this tape - it is of high quality Aim to keep your body from being too thin We see it as a little stronger than a value brand. It seemed to me that this would be a more appropriate product for heavy-duty uses rather than an all-purpose one, and it might be easier to wind if it was less fussy.

You need to keep looking
3/5

In this pack, there were six rolls. I have used five out of them so far. Generally, tape fails to stick if it is not firmly adhered. Assuming you get a useful strip of masking tape, it is about as sticky as any other tape. You can split the tape when unrolling a piece longer than an inch. If this doesn't work, you have to stop, get the tail piece stuck to the roll, and tear it off so your edge is reasonably straight. It is rare that I get to get a piece of wood that is intact and not pieced down the middle if I am very careful and slow. It is usually reliable to buy Scottish brand products, but this one is a.

I find this very disappointing
3/5

It is very! My experience has been that when you buy cheap, you end up with The use of masking tape is an inefficient means of saving money. As far as getting it off the roll is concerned, it's difficult. It tends to stick too well, or not Therefore, you waste a lot of time trying to get the poor quality product to An easy and smooth unrolling is one of the hallmarks of better masking tape quality. You get clean lines without any paint leaking under the edges, and it sticks with just enough strength to keep from cracking. 3M, or Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing, is an iconic American company that produces great products. The company has been around for a long time they make great products, It is to the point where I bought 3M solely because of its brand name. In any case, that no longer applies. The multipack I bought was definitely a good buy I have used several packages of this masking tape in different widths and it has performed just as poorly as the Elmer's tape These brands sell for a lot less than the branded ones. It was so hard to pull off a few feet of tape once I started, and the tape wouldn't come off easily. You can try again if you start over. Again, repeat the process a few Using my time and some of the tape that I had paid for in vain. Since I have only tried to use a few of the rolls in the different widths, I might be inclined to throw away the rest. There is NO other way to describe it. Generally, I'm a very loyal customer of a given brand. Then it's all over for me. My congratulations to 3M - you ruined me by wasting your once great reputation. This is not a product that I would recommend, and I will not buy it again.

This brush is perfect for painting in general
5/5

It was time for me to paint all the baseboards in the house, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money buying blue tape. There are some reviews that claim this tape does not adhere well. This simply is not the case. Some of the older tape came off with it, along with some paint from the walls when I took off the tape. However, I still give it 5 stars since it is a solid paint for general painting for the price.

A Youtube from a artist named Idaho Painter caught my attention
5/5

This video from the Idaho Painter explained that it had the advantage of being easy to remove as well as keeping the paint on the walls or trim instead of letting it drip. I knocked down the ceiling with tape and the lines are wonderful without worrying about the paint staying Great tape! I highly recommend it!.

My professional needs are met by the product and I am more than pleased with its performance in masking applications
5/5

Why I have seen any negative effects from this inch and a half tape is beyond me. Maybe what happens is that a person doesn't remove the protective wrapper that's on the outside of the tape, which serves to draw attention to the fact that you have an unused roll left. For the tape that I have been using, I have yet to have a problem with any rolls. As far as I can remember, I've used pretty much every brand of tape out there. Since I started my profession during the early 1970s, I have used all sorts of tape for many different surfaces. I currently use more than 30 kinds of tape. So far, this tape that I purchased here has not caused me any problems. It saves me a lot of money from buying sundries for painting, and this tape is far superior to the majority of other tapes on the market. Thus I don't see what the problem is with the bad reviews. It's possible that the others did not get the delivery they were expecting. As for me, I am quite satisfied with the price and if it is cheaper than what I can pay any of my local suppliers , then I will check for a substitute product that is more reasonable.

The tape is tape, but halfway through two rolls, the glue was on the opposite side. For some reason, the tape could not be used.
