Each wooden handle of his “swords” requires an average of only 1oz of epoxy, which he uses to restore old beat up items for his theater group. It is very rare for him to do two or three weekends in a row. I have found these to be the perfect size This makes cleanup a breeze. This is a very stable system. He hasn't experienced any difficulty handling the syringe to pull the exact amount needed for applying to the sword hilts as he pulls it from the bottle. As of yet, he has not accidentally knocked one over.
The cups I use for measuring resins are perfect for measuring resin, and now I know why I went through an extra bottle of Part A. It is impossible to accurately measure the cups using these measurements. Three photos were uploaded to demonstrate how far off the 1 oz, 1 oz and 2 oz are. A 5 ounce and 2 ounce measurement are equivalent. The cups are not accurate for anything requiring precise measurements, such as measuring resin, so I would recommend securing something else since these cups cannot be used for measuring resin.
The medicine cups I typically use to measure and stir epoxy have tabs inside. I was hoping these would not have these tabs. We would like to find 2 oz medicine cups that don't have this problem.
The purpose of these is to mix This is a nice, sturdy and clear plastic (the water doesn't haze up like some other ones). Mixing is not ideal due to a "punt" (indentation) on the bottom that you have to stir around. In addition, the marks are embossed on the inside, and when you pour liquid in, they "disappear" (the liquid flows around them so well that they can no longer be seen).
I like the 2oz size cups. 2 oz of epoxy is the perfect size for a small As a personal rule, I don't like to make too much at once. These are great for my individual requirements. When I need more, I definitely will buy more from you again.
The ones made from this material mix so much better than the one-ounce cups that could get stuck. As long as they don't get too crusty, I wipe them out with baby wipes. The next time I buy, I will definitely do it.
I needed smaller measuring cups because the epoxy will be applied to a very small area. The good thing is that I marked the scale with a permanent marker because, once the epoxy was in place, I couldn't see the numbers One other drawback of these cups is that the three lines on the outside are supposed to reinforce the cups, but they interfere with the stirring just like that indent on the inside which interferes with good mixing.
It is difficult to stir and scrape the sides of the cup because of a tiny ridge on the inside. For this reason, I won't buy again. A nice size and pretty durable, but I won't buy again. In order to make resin projects, I need a smooth inside.
