A full size roller comes with one type and a 6" roller comes with the other type. It is truly amazing what these trays can do for you! Since I don't have many homes to paint or rooms to paint, I use them constantly, mostly the smaller trays. There were only one or two issues out of the 10 or so I have purchased, which I believe was my fault.

A couple of months ago, I bought both the large and medium trays based on their innovative snap-on covers. In my experience, this is a very good idea that is not well executed since I have used it so often with the same outcome. There are a number of paint trays with covers, but this product stands out because it allows the entire roller to be sealed so it is ready to use right away. There are two deadly flaws in the design of both trays. There are two problems with them. Firstly, they are intended to be used with low nap rollers and the small tray assumes that the roller handle is long enough to prevent it from falling into the Although that would be something of a problem, the other more serious issue is the inability of the lid of either tray to stay shut even when no roller is inside. Even when the lid appears to be sealed, after a short period of time it will lift exposing the paint. The lip seal on these two items does not have a positive detent to ensure that it stays closed, so without that they can only be considered expensive versions of plastic trays that paint cannot adhere to.
This is a tray I bought years ago at a big box store and it has served me well since then. We flip homes and I paint all the homes, so I just bought two more as we work with primer and two colors from room to room. I don't have to keep cleaning trays all the time. A few months ago, I used paint from one of these trays, which had been stored in it for a while. The paint was still moist, and it had been able to Whenever I want to add paint, I just add it to the tray. There is a bit of build up on the sides that dries while it's open, but I simply peel it off and continue I use the Paint and Roller Brush Covers on Amazon so that I don't have to deal with brush ends or rollers accumulating in the tray. Additionally, I cover my brushes with a plastic bag to ensure they're not exposed to air, but always be sure to clean your brushes every couple of days to keep them in good condition. When painting multiple rooms at a time, you just cannot go wrong buying this product. You will find it to be very helpful.
Even though this is a very nice container and seals well, it is not Tupperware. There was an error in the size. This fits 4-inch dolls only. Rolling up a paint job with a 5 inch roller is good if you need to touch The only thing that held me back from giving it 5 stars was its price The rollers are 5 inches wide. This is a great idea, but the medium is too The only roller that will work is a 4" roller. If I plan to use a medium roller, then I'll need to buy a large one. Avoid using a standard roller even if it is possible.
It comes in 4 colors and each has a different paint job. As I move from room to room, I can flick back and forth between the wall colors. It keeps the roller and paint fresh weeks at a time! Detail paint brushes are rolled up in zip lock bags so I can have them with me anywhere I go. The only recommendation is to make the top a bit more spacious.
Seals well, and I like the way it looks. My concern is the large ridges for the roller to go over. I think they should be smaller since this tray is small and you are most likely using a foam roller or similar As a consequence of its large ridges, it leaves quite a bit of paint behind, but that won't be a problem if you cut in using a paint brush as well.
It will keep paint from drying over night, but not for the first few days. Good for when you are painting two or more colours at the same time.
