Others have pointed out that this setup isn't quite wide enough to accommodate a 9" roller, which is standard. I've been adjusting the set-up by angling the roller to fit. This is actually a very nice tray, provided that it does not have an excessive width. A sturdy tray is used, the liners fit well in the tray, and the dimple pattern on the liners gives the liners an eye-catching appearance. The liners are too small for a standard metal tray, as a side note. The liners aren't meant to be used that way, but it may be worth pointing out if someone believes they can use standard trays with the liners. I think they would have been a 5 star item if these were an inch wider.
This product has met all my expectations, although I have not had the chance to use it yet. I found the hard shell to have sufficient rigidity and the liners to be thick/durable enough to last for several uses. I was pleased with its cleaning. Contains 3 paint roller trays and 3 liners. Purchased in conjunction with the magimate "9 inch paint roller frame". It turns out that this roller frame is just slightly too wide for easy or convenient use with these trays and liners. Despite only having one liner installed in the tray, the roller frame barely fits in and rubs both sides of the container. There were no comments about difficulty fitting the tray with the rollers mentioned in any of the reviews I read. I think it's the roller frame, not the tray, that's the problem. In order to use this product, you might want to keep that in mind when ordering a roller frame.
wonderful to dispense with the liner and put away all clean up after painting a vaulted ceiling for four hours. I would be more than happy to purchase another one in the future. It was a mad scramble, indeed (I did have a little paint under the liner, but I was definitely painting like a madman. In my opinion, it is not indicative of this product that I am sloppy. ).
My old roller would not fit in the pan so I had to find one. However, I do like the product other than that.
It worked great until I ran out of liners, but I had a roller that fit. This trays is a little thinner than standard replacement liners, so standard liners won't fit in it. Even more problematic is the fact that the liners are not sold separately.
The tray liners are great for cleaning. At one point (in my apartment) I was using two paints at once. We didn't have to wash out another pan or buy an additional set after we used this set. My mistake was not to throw away the tray liner when I was finished.
To apply roofing material, I needed this item. The unit I needed turned out to be all I needed. The remaining ones will be saved for later I found the situation to be very useful for my job.
