Most likely, but I think you could find something better suited for your needs. The thing is very flimsy when extended, but I don't know if your tent is taller than 6 feet.
There is an option to lock it at any time As there are no positive stops, the collar acts as a friction stop. However, there is a pretty good lock on it.
A pole that extends from 8 to 12 feet is made by them The Home Depot sells them for about $36 and they are 23' long. This is item
The camera pole mount can be attached to a camera. Amazon has them. You can search for them there. If you are concerned about stability and shake, I would suggest you consider the weight of your camera and the extension of your pole. After a bit of practice you will find your comfort zone and your skills will improve.

A few times I used it, the end of the plastic thread broke off (where the metal pole meets the plastic thread). The drug was never abused in any way while in use. It has been a disappointment.
A pair of uses caused it to break. threaded piece of the product worked well, but unfortunately it had a weak structural part and after a minimal amount of use it broke when dropped.
Although the handle itself is quite durable, after washing my RV for 10 minutes, the threads holding the brush together snapped, and the brush simply fell It is clear that there is a A solid piece of aluminum or stainless steel would have been better suited for this component. Neither I recommend this item nor do I endorse it.
When we used it for the first time, the pole broke! My window for getting a refund simply closed, and I am unable to find information on how to do it! We were very disappointed when the part where the roller screws in broke right in the middle of the painting job! It's a terrible quality roller and now there is no way we can get a refund or replacement.
I was able to install the pole with no problems. The extended length of this piece doesn't make it rigid, but I didn't expect it to be rigid either. Having the ability to handle a light pole is going to make it easier to use At 12', the ground is solid. A few acme-sized stickers are needed for certification purposes, so I asked the manufacturer if I could purchase some I asked for two thread inserts for future use, knowing the plastic would fracture at some point. They sent me two for free. My surprise was a pleasant one. I put some teflon spray on the pole and locking mechanism to prevent the lock from becoming rusted. As some have reported, things appear to be fine. It worked perfectly for that part of the assembly as well. That may be different in a year, but with Teflon this will probably not be the case.
Thanks for the purchase. I am very happy with it. Having discovered its usefulness for a number of conventional and unconventional purposes, I intend to continue to use it. The light bulb change tool I bought it for. For the light bulbs in question, I have used it. As well as building spider webs, removing broken limbs from trees, threading twine through a bat house 17 feet high, and generally fooling my cat by tapping on its window, I've also used it for picking up spiders. Since moving into a new house, I've had to buy a multitude of tools. The fact that this item stood out as a necessity must make it one of those standouts. Adding more or removing more time by lengthening or shortening and hooking on a tightener have also been no problem. The product is excellent.
The extension pole and the Stauber Best Bulb Changer Kit were purchased together. The pros are There isn't any better way to put it than this. This is an easy-to-use product. The extension of the theme is easy. It is made of sturdy materials and is extremely well constructed. It has many uses (change the light bulbs in a 12 foot ceiling, clean windows, clean the soffits on the outside of the house, and There is something of a universal size to the top and it should be able to The cons are There are none. The company where I bought them was a big name brand. I also had a few other cheap extension poles. Those items have been discarded in the recycling A lifetime extension pole like this one is hard to find today. I'm glad I bought it and would highly recommend it to others.
It's very difficult for me to loosen and tighten the collar when I want to extend a pole or shorten it. My feet hold the bottom of the pole so it remains still while I loosen or tighten the black collar. It is difficult to loosen or tighten the black collar while holding the inner red collar because it has thick spokes that the outer black collar tightens against. The work is almost too difficult for one person to handle. Keeping the rest of the pole still is virtually impossible because the amount of strength needed exceeds that of the rest of the pole. As it's not designed well, and I do not like having to lengthen or shorten it, I don't make use of it as much as I should. The reason I got it is because I ended up having to leave it in the long position between uses rather than being able to shorten and put it away.
