Questions & Answers

Do you think this works well on door frames and ?

In general, it is quicker and more efficient than painting with a brush or roller when painting under ceilings. It would be acceptable to do around door frames if you don't overload the edges with paint. Whenever I do that, I use painter's tape for a little safety. It has been successful for me when I use it at base boards. There is no need to worry about making a mistake since it is I've also used it where two colors meet and it worked well. We use the various sizes of these pads and love them.

Can you offer any suggestions for reducing the amount of ?

As suggestions, I would like to offer Make sure you are not pressing down too hard. It is best not to complicate things. You cannot expect to complete the job in one coating if the structure is really rough.

How long does it take to apply the pad when I have to wash the pads and aprons?

This package contains both the handle and pad shown in the image. Pads are able to be washed. You can purchase replacement pads as well.

Is this able to be attached to a painting pole for areas that are hard to reach?

The answer is yes. There is an instruction in the description on how to attach this to a threaded pole.

This is a roller
5/5

That roller is awesome. It bothers me that stipple is used! This pad painter was chosen over the Shur-Flex because it had a solid handle An adjustable handle is part of this line model. Material choice for the adjustable handle was of poor quality, making it impossible to use (pardon 1) The handle would shift and it would be a constant battle to keep it in its proper location. This is plastic ( more Using a pad on large areas can cause the Mud Jug Plastic) to buckle under the pressure. I use a handle that is rigid enough to take the stress of painting without a struggle. The moment has come. Using a paint pad before is superior to rolling, especially if you haven't done so before. You don't see any stipple or splatter on your hands, arms, floors or It looks great thanks to the smooth finish. It is important to bear in mind two points when using this device. First, you will use more energy in an application, as the drag on the surface being painted is greater than rolling because the paint is applied as a film, not a splotch, which would require repetitive But that is not all. When loading a pad, it is important to remember that excessive pressure can cause drops despite the pad being properly loaded. Although there is a learning curve, the outcome is fantastic. Spraying is the most smooth, but really, who wants to spend more time masking, changing clothes, costuming up so you don't look like the finished product you are trying to get not on me but on the walls. And don't even get me started on the cleaning! In addition to repainting my home with the pad, I find it worth the effort when the project is completed! I would advise you to be careful The underlying ceiling paint (if the ceiling is flat finished) will grab the pad and pull the paint into it like a sponge, so the pad will drag more. In addition, due to the stroke paths left by the grabbing of the paint pad, you may need to apply another coat after it has dried. Almost all of the time, you will obtain a smooth and even finish. (There is smooth ceiling detail. Prepare for fun days in the sun and stipple-ridden surfaces with a thick roller, and be prepared for a lot of speckles! )
Paint in a unique (Remember this. Learn as you go!.

Whenever possible, I prefer to roll
3/5

The only positive thing I can say is that it was a good experience. It's made of plastic and I used Valspar satin finish paint with it. As soon as I painted over the same area, the fast drying paint just peeled off the wall. As a result, I went back to my roller, which worked fine with little I will make one point It seems another reviewer has noted the handle doesn't thread correctly on the long end. You are incorrect, the threads are perfect for threading onto an extension pole.

In the absence of The dream of every painter
5/5

Amazing item! I really like it! Especially if you are like me and have a hard time painting, this product is the gift that keeps on giving. It is easy to use, very fast and The first coat I paint with this, then the second coat is done with the dreaded roller and it goes quickly.

There's no point in trying
3/5

Had no idea it wouldn't be easy to get a clean ceiling line. It worked ok around the doors and windows that have been replaced as part of slightly newer construction, but I was unaware that the original windows and doors have bumps and such on the molding. However, additional time was lost elsewhere for every minute of time saving around the newer construction doors. There are just a lot more things that go wrong in the process - the sponge drips everywhere and doesn't always make the straight lines that it's supposed to. As a result of the time change- My time to learn to use this tool that's supposed to save me time wasn't worth the additional mess, hassle, and stress. With practice maybe you could get a hang of it, but for me, I didn't think it would save me enough time to make it worthwhile.

Great 7" paint pad
5/5

I love it. Pads can be changed easily and the handle is easy to use. It's hard to paint our walls with a brush or roller since our walls aren't smooth. With this paint pad, you can apply paint to edges and it works very well.

That's fine in certain parts of the country

You can do this IF you have the correct space to do this at the exact same angle the non-technical person does Having a moveable head is necessary. Not only is it worthless, but it also doesn't have any value. When used at any angle other than the desired, it will produce messy, The product I purchased was to be used on an entryway of my split level home and it quickly became apparent that I had Well, I guess. It would have made sense to me if I had considered logistics prior to making a decision on this note. Please be mindful of all spatial elements of your project before making this decision.

This is a game
5/5

A sea change is coming. It's not clear why these aren't available at the big box improvement stores. Their advantages over rollers are better coverage, they get closer to edges, cleaning is less time-consuming, they can be reused more times, and they require fewer pressures. The old problem I have is that the pad can drip paint on the floor when it becomes really saturated. Rolling spay drop is more significant and should be protected with a substantial floor covering. Paint is a liquid that dries in a few drops, so if you are careful, the droplets can be minimized.

The angle is acute
3/5

The static angle in which it stays applies here, so it would work fine IF you could use it that way. If someone instead made a locking/pivoting one, I would love it. It did a good job in the area where I used it, and I was done in seconds, but in the foyer I bought it for, it cannot be used at the angle this requires.
