They probably use the same method for oil based paints, but I am sure the method is applicable to all types of paint. If you want to reduce the look of rolling and orange peel, you should thin the paint slightly according to the manufacturer's directions. I agree that the pricing for two packs is not reasonable. It's their choice how much they want to charge. It would be better to buy 2 sets of 3 instead of 3. Although they are good covers, they are not perfect.
Although I'm no longer in possession of the rollers, the roller I used was 1-3/8 inches wide. Thank you for your help.

These are FAKE copies of the real thing, according to my judgement. It's been years since I used this brand of roller and have never had it shred in the first 10 minutes. This seller is one to beware of.
It was a mistake to buy a 3-pack. We got half way through painting a wall when it was bad enough that I threw all three white doves I was not at all pleased with the roller cover. It was impossible to spread the paint evenly I had to go over and over again. It worked almost flawlessly when I took a value pack roller from True Value back to my office. Whenever I try or buy a Purdy cover again, I will never consider using it It was a bad experience for me to have painted so many walls over the years and consider myself a good painter.
It's great to have these roller covers. We are no longer able to purchase these at the local home depot, so I'll order them online Rolling these covers out is smooth and you won't collect lint when painting them. As long as they are tightly wrapped in plastic, you can use them on the same project for multiple days without losing any of their durability.

The rollers I am using for painting projects have been in my possession I never have to worry about disappointing them. When they changed vendors at the big box store, which sold them to me previously, I was happy to find.
It's funny how Purdy rollers are the only ones that seem to be cheaper! The price is based on the number of units Although 3 packs are a great price and Purdy's quality is top-of-the-line.
I have found that these roller covers are very helpful in painting the interior of my home. There are no fuzz or other bits that get into the paint or leave marks on the walls, and they are very well made. Despite the uneven paint coverage, the color is nice and vivid. The price on Amazon is lower than the one at local stores.
