So my friend approaches me and asks if I could look at his car's audio system because his back speakers aren't working. I'll be damned if the two speaker wires weren't not only shorted to ground, but also to each other, which I discovered using the 250 volt insulation test to ground(-). ) and to each conductor, we started looking around, and in his trunk, his old lady had thrown some heavy books on his speaker wires, cutting them to ground and each other, locating the problem, so I repaired to 2 wires and turned the radio on, and still nothing, fuse in the amp, forgot about it, got a new fuse, put it in, and Bam! They got down to business! My buddy was pleased, so I said okay and left; I didn't want to be around for the butt-up. He was going to give his old lady a chewing, Whoa!.
