I am from Honwell, I wanted to let you know that the umbrella light utilizes 6 AA batteries (not included) and the batteries run for around 50 hours. I hope this has been helpful.
There could be a light tucked under an umbrella, not directly in the line of sight of the remote control. When you try to use the remote, you might also be standing too close to it.
