My post is about 3 inches round, and I believe that it is the standard light post.

A total of five numbers doesn't seem to work. It seems that my address has only three digits based on my three digit phone number. I think it would be better to add a fourth 3". If the address was changed to a 2", that would defeat the purpose of the project.
Among the numbers on my sign are three 3's. It would be possible to fit four 3" numbers with a closer spacing. A total of four 2's is definitely viable.

It took a while for the address to wear out on my previous ladder rail. Having found out that the screw holding it to the rail was rusted, I decided to replace it. I didn't want to have to fuss with something that she won't have, so I didn't want anything that she will have. All the letters and numbers on the sign were already in place. In contrast to my prior sign, the sign is attached permanently to the rail and isn't attached by chains. That was what I thought might be a downside, but it's The sign can be seen from the road since it is sturdy. That's a neat addition to my lamp post, I think.

A recent update on the situation Before I could toss it, I noticed that the thread might catch on something It took a long time for the connectors to come out of the handle and they were inserted much deeper than necessary. Therefore, there was not enough fetch for the sign part to connect. I took the threads for the a-b-c-d code. You need to take it all the way out of the handle and then turn it in 5 or so turns back into it. that the sign has been tightly attached for a week, it will continue to do so. The review was upgraded to 4 stars from 2 It will be a keeper for me, so I'll give the star again if it lasts. We will give it a 5 star rating as soon as the fix is implemented. In addition to its great construction and design, I gave this a star for being very solid. There is a problem it does not stay in place. Each time I check it, it is tilting down, and I have to give the thing at least a full half dozen turns to tighten it back up You may also include more than one. It's only a matter of time before I get fed up with it and just throw it out. It is a shame, as otherwise it is fantastic.

I did not regret buying this ladder rest, even though I was reluctant to order it. Despite my concerns about the aluminum, I was amazed at how well this thing locks together and how solid it is. When the metal address numbers arrive in the mail, I will paint them to match our lamp post. I first primed the aluminum and then painted it. I would like to make clear that the usable area inside the sign is approx. 7 square inches. The size of the square is 75 x 3 inches. A 5 is.
A cross pole was missing from the address of the new house. It had a light pole, but there was no cross pole for the light pole. I used the reflective numbers on the hillman 843445 (Hillman 843445 Reflective Adhesive Number Pack, 3", White) perfectly, four of the 3" numbers fit. My only complaint would be that the product could have been a bit bigger. It is a product I would recommend.
