I was amazed by how light it was and how thin the gauge was when it arrived. Despite a small but insignificant dent at the base (which I inset into the ground anyway), it was otherwise in very good shape. I put a light lamp on it, which was moderately heavy and it was sturdy enough once up. As a whole, I think it's a very good product, and you should definitely get it! I did not consider the following piece of advice The 18 - 20 rule applies There is an excavation of 36 inches in the ground so when installed, a 7 ft pole will not be 7 feet high. In order to be sturdy, it must be set quite deep below the surface, which is made much easier by a concrete pour. It would have been better if I had ordered a pole 8 feet or 10 feet long.
This color is a deep, dark brown and it has a very slight texture, but I like it. In an oculus are urns for direct burying.
It would have been nice if the product wall thickness was a little thicker. A week ago I installed it and so far it has been running fine. Quoizel post lanterns are typically used with this product.
Replaced steel lamp posts with these ones, etc. Thought they would be OK, but they are sturdy and the finish is excellent.
The text does state that direct burial is the preferred method. I bought the pole on amazon and a couple of lamp post footers because it was written next to a lamp post footer. I cut the pole in half after that. It turns out that the diameters of the two are the same size. I will grind it down to fit in It has probably been my fault, but this is a graveyard note, so I know it should be forgotten.
The pole came in and it had a big dent in the bottom of it and the finish looked In addition to the pole not having been dented in shipping, the box was in mint condition and the paint didn't look scratched in the dented area, which suggests that it was painted after it had been I would have sent it back if I had more time, but I had to get the plants in the ground before winter hit.
It's beautiful. This is an easy to install product.
