To install the system, drill a 25" hole in the paver bricks, thread the fittings together, and plug it in. The pre- The programmed controller is simple to use, but it only has a few control options. This is the most fundamental setup. If you're ordering extension cables, make sure you get the CHNXU brand rather than the FVTLED brand because the connector mating surfaces aren't the same. Make sure there is an electric plug near the power supply box, or be prepared to use an extension cord. One strange thing I've noticed is that these lights glow faintly when turned off, as if they aren't completely turned off.
This is a fantastic product, but it's made in China, which is unfortunate. Because of the translation, the installation instructions are a little confusing. The lamps are actually much brighter than they should be. They were still very bright even though we chose the warm light color. We had hoped to embed them in our deck, but they were far too bright. Our deck is nearly 70 feet long, and a light every 4 feet or so was far too much. We considered getting an extension cable to space them further apart, but instead chose to mount them on the deck fascia, pointing out towards our backyard trees and bushes, which are just off the back of our deck. This resulted in an interesting effect.
I've placed them close to the edge so you can see where the edge is at night. Years ago, I purchased a set of "deckorator" cards. However, I had to replace them on a regular basis because they burned out or shorted out due to water. Only one of them did, and it was because I sprayed it with my power washer by accident. Also, instead of a few led dots, I like how the white light glows!.
The only reason I didn't give these lights five stars is that one of them was defective. So instead of removing all of them and returning them, I settled for (9) nine lights instead of (10) ten. They are, however, fantastic and blend in perfectly with the deck. You can walk right over them and they will not be harmed. We've had a lot of rain recently, and they don't seem to mind. These are fantastic lights!.
The lights are fantastic. This is precisely what we were looking for. For our steps, we have some cool little led lights. They are completely flush with each other. are extremely simple to set up. They work well, look nice under snow, and are waterproof, as you can see from the pictures. They're all connected by a single cord that plugs into a wall outlet. enabling us to set a timer for them bonus!.
These were purchased for our deck stairwell. We have composite decking and these work great; we put them on every other stair and it's amazing how much of a difference they make. They're extremely bright, with a nice crisp white light. We didn't need them on every stair because the light was bright enough. They had to be wired in, so our electrician did the job.
I bought a ten-pack of them. It is simple to put together. A one-inch whole bit was purchased. It was the perfect fit. It performs as expected. There are a plethora of color options available. The dimming mode has a very useful feature. Since then, I've purchased two more ten-packs. All of this adds up to 30. You can either divide them up or put them all on the same control. I even plugged one in and left it submerged in a glass of water for about 3 hours, as Higley suggested, with no problems. I used it to light up the entrance to my front porch and on my back deck.
They were the perfect size for some lovely accent lighting, and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on them. These are something I would strongly advise you to purchase.
