One of the ones I received makes a lot of noise and the stars will not whirl unless I shake it. A total waste of money. I regret buying it
Having a constantly spinning interior and changing colors, it is all one piece. We like this so much, really cool
If I wanted to change it, I would have to make it from scratch by buying a new lava lamp with its base on top of this one. It doesn't appeal to me either when colors change, but the star glitters appeal to me.

It is meant for my 2 1/2 year old son, who I thought would enjoy watching the stars and the colors changing on the walls when the light is on. This is sort of like an option "better than a nightlight. ". All the negative reviews came first, so I was wary about trusting them. With the exception of the on/off switch, which did not work, it seemed to be functioning fine otherwise. It would automatically turn on as soon as you plugged it in. In just three weeks after the return window has closed, let's fast forward to the present. You'll notice that the stars will no longer float in the lava lamp. The purchase was good. This kids night light is decent. This blanket stays cool to the touch for hours. It helped my 4 year old have no fear of the dark all night long. Immediately after I got home, it was cool to the touch since I forgot to turn it off the previous night. Once it starts, it is quiet for the first minute and stays quiet all night long. It is a product I would recommend Size is good. No leaks so far.
When my dearly deceased (and discontinued) Sand Castle lava lamp fell off my desk because of a faulty power cable, I could not fix it I replaced the mosquito swat with this one because it oozed goo all over the place and swatted a mosquito! In contrast to a regular lava lamp, this one never gets hot. I like how it has a bit of a galaxy vibe.
By replacing the red LEDs with purple LEDs, the designers tried something different with this model however, the purple LEDs are so dim that they almost appear to go out when the lights are switched between purple and red. The rest of the program works as it should.
