The cons are It is not the best solution for those who want to move it around, but it works for me. I have a 3-inch headboard, and the mounting hooks were too short to stabilize it, so my husband mounted it with a small strip of metal across what remains of the hooks. Additionally, the socket extension problem was solved by attaching a support bracket to the existing frame to prevent it from extending out without support when the chain was pulled. By doing so, the socket extension was stopped from extending out despite there being no support for it. This may seem like a lot, but it really took very little effort and time to complete. I would've given it a five-star rating, but because of the improvements that were made, I gave it a four-star rating. This lamp has improved my experience of reading in bed before going to sleep because it provides me with a bright, comfortable light. In light of the fact that it was designed to fit headboards from 1" to 2", no modifications should be necessary. I recommend this product to others, and I believe it is a great product.

My husband and I have been looking for a nightlight that isn't so bright that it lights up the whole room, but not so dim that it causes eye strain when reading It isn't easy to reach over and turn out the light even with the lights that we've found that are good - it still involves readjusting your position in bed. You wake up when you hear that! That sort of negates the purpose of a nightlight for reading at bedtime, doesn't it? The very first time I saw this item, I was VERY hopeful that it would be what we had been searching I was very happy to find this item arrived BEFORE the estimated delivery date. It was in great condition and was immediately put to use after I installed a replacement bulb (80 Nighttime reading is made so much easier with this light! This is now one of our favorite items! I was concerned it would be too thick to fit over the headboard edge, but it was easy to handle. There was enough light for reading, but it wasn't too bright. Its soft warm glow provided a lovely ambience to the room. Despite the long power cord, it wasn't hard to reach the nearest outlet. A clear tubing surrounds the stiff wires on the chandelier's hanger in order to protect the headboard from damage. This light's lampshade is cream in color, although the company offers green shades as well (make sure you're ordering the correct shade). It is a little stiff to pull the on/off string on our unit, but it is conveniently placed, making it very easy to turn it off. This reading light is very functional, effective, and attractive.

My daughter and I have tried numerous lamps for her bed, but this one has proven to be the best. The first one I bought was a few years ago, and the second one was purchased I seriously believe that this is the best value for the money, but more than that, it is of exceptionally high You can get A LOT of light from this lamp, likely more than you need, so if you need a lamp only giving off a little light, then this isn't the lamp If only the shade of light was white instead of cream, it would be much more appealing. However, overall, this was the best lamp I was able to find that had a sturdy base and strong nylon cord.

The lamp I have is perfect for me! The nightlight is great for extra lighting or for use when you wake up in the middle of the All it takes is a couple of clicks away. It's easy to install just by unpacking and setting it up on the headboard. This is a pretty color that goes with just about anything!.

I love the new lighting in bed. It makes reading so much easier than with a lamp on a nightstand. Up to date as of 3/29/2020 This reading lamp's shade has fallen apart after two and a half years of use. The light itself works fine, except that the shade's plastic liner is tearing away from the fabric part, and the fabric parts of the shade are pulling away from their Moreover, since the shade, light, and frame are all part of one piece, they will have to be thrown away as well There is no way to replace the shade alone. The lamp is disposable over a short period of time, therefore its consideration as a "short-term".

Update Trying to determine if I got a different manufacturer or product. There was no plastic covering the metal hooks on mine. Although they were bendable, they were not rigid. I accidentally ordered the wrong size. I communicated with the seller who was very friendly about taking it back, however when I attempted to return the item in the original packaging, I learned it would be nearly as much as the item itself. It was more important to send back the $2 I gave my friend, who mounted it above their bed on the wall, then to send back the $2 to me. The application is of higher quality and much better and they appreciate Consider all the facts about this item before you place an order.
