I only gave it five stars because it easily replaced a WAC transformer that had stopped working. What I don't like is a transformer that only lasts about five years. I did some more research, and it appears that many customers are having problems with these WAC transformers for monorail lighting systems. In another part of my house, I have a low-voltage Tech lighting system that has lasted for more than ten years. Before deciding on WAC, do some research and ask around.
FEB. 2015- Make a financial saving! After only 8 months of use, the original unit died. After 9 months of use, the replacement unit died. I had no idea that the transformer was covered by a 5-year warranty. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. June 2017br>It worked for 36 months before blowing up once more. We reached out to Bliss Modern through an Amazon email request. After three weeks, there has been no response! I could file a claim, but when I didn't hear back from Bliss Modern via email two weeks ago, I simply called. My information was taken by him. But it's been two weeks and I'm still waiting for a response. So, now that I'm on my third week of trying to contact Bliss Modern, I've called a different number and spoken to customer service, which is most likely just a call center. I used the website blissmodern to try to figure out where they are. com, and there's no address that tells me whether they're on EST or not. br>I spoke with a call handler who took my information and asked when I should expect a call back. I gave him my Amazon order number, among other things. He stated, "I'm going to be honest with you, I probably won't be able to do it for a couple of days. " This irritates me so much that I'm requesting a new transformer. It's difficult to explain, but replacing a light is more difficult than simply purchasing a new system. We're doing a remodel and I need to buy some time, so I'll just get a new transformer until I can find the lighting I need, which won't be easy because it's an off-center situation. FINAL VERDICT: BUY THIS SYSTEM AT YOUR OWN RISK- Be aware that Bliss Modern has customer service problems and that you should not put your trust in them.
I read a lot of reviews before ordering this item, and the majority of them said that this transformer burns out quickly, so I took a chance because I didn't have a choice, and they were all right: it burned out in two days! Because it burned out so quickly, Amazon will gladly accept it back with no questions asked.
I recently purchased a home that had a 2 - star rating. These WAC 12v lighting transformers were installed in a year-old remodeled kitchen. Both transformers burned out after 6 months in the house, and I had to replace them at a cost of around $200 each. After less than 5 months, one of the "new" transformers failed again - A new replacement is required. Surges aren't an issue here because the power is consistent, and no other electrical equipment has been damaged. Purchase this WAC product at your own risk; it will cost you money time and time again!.
This product is excellent, but do not be fooled! The Dark Bronze unit is depicted in the image, but the - Brushed Nickel (BN) is a term that refers to a metal that has been Ensure that your order ends in - if you want dark bronze. The product is pleasant, but when I complained, I discovered that resolving the issue was akin to the Manhattan Project during World War II. Amazon directed me to the supplier and requested that I take care of the problem through them. The supplier refused to accept the return paperwork, which was eventually handled by Amazon. I told the supplier I wanted the correct unit shipped, but they insisted on having me re-order it. Instead, I ordered the unit, which means I'll have to pay for it twice and hope for a refund when the wrong unit is returned to them. Then there's the bad news - Despite the fact that the dark bronze unit is shown on Amazon's website, it is not available! I had to order it directly from the manufacturer (1STOPlighting), which I could only do over the phone. Furthermore, their advertised price is nearly $20 higher than Amazon's, almost as if I were being lured into purchasing the incorrect unit so that I would be forced to purchase the correct unit for a higher price. After some haggling, I was able to persuade 1STOPlighting (the gentleman was extremely pleasant and helpful) to honor the original Amazon price. com.
I've had to replace this transformer three times because it has burned out, and the most recent one is buzzing and I'm sure it's about to die. br>Does anyone know of a similar transformer that could be used in its place? Customer service appears to be a waste of time.
This electronic transformer's NEW version is compatible with the latest low-wattage LED bulbs. LEDs did not turn on in the previous version. It had only been three years since the previous one had been replaced. It was covered by the manufacturer's warranty, so it was replaced. However, if you're only using LEDs, there's a new lower-power, less-expensive version available.
