Both lights have the ability to be rotated and aimed in any direction. Up, down, and side to side are some of the movements you can make.
My room is completely quiet. Since it does what it claims to do, I've been completely satisfied with mine. When the lights are turned off, it automatically turns on. Others who hum are not the same as this model.
The power cord measures about 6 feet in length.
My weight is only 120 pounds. I couldn't find a 240 option. We, on the other hand, adore ours; the power goes out and on, and the battery has yet to be depleted.

Blows the competition out of the water! For power outages and emergencies, this is an incredible light. Prior to purchasing this light, I conducted extensive research. This light is by far the longest-lasting light I've come across. During a power outage, 95% of lights I have seen for emergencies last at best a couple of hours at best a couple of hours at best a couple of hours at best a couple This light will last a full 40 hours if only one light is turned on, or 20 hours if both lights are turned on, which is an incredible amount of time considering my power goes out on a regular basis, though there have been times when it has gone out for up to 5 days. Knowing that a light will last this long is extremely comforting. There is a newer Ideal Security model available that is said to be brighter, though it lasts significantly less time during an outage. This light is quite bright, and it will more than suffice to see around the dark areas of your house where you are walking. I'd rather have a light like this that isn't as bright but lasts up to 40 hours than a brighter light that will die in a couple of hours if there's a power outage. The fact that this emergency blackout light has a much larger battery than competitors contributes to its long life. There are six LED bulbs in each of the two lights. I bought two of these units and put them in different parts of the house. This book comes highly recommended.
We're both in our nineties and can't stand still. We live on the third floor of a retirement home, and when the power went out, we were completely in the dark. We had enough light to allow us to get around SAFELY with just a flip of the switch! At our age, a fall could prove fatal. We were so impressed with the emergency light's performance that we bought four (one for each of our children). ) Needless to say, WE HEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEARTHEART.
There are no windows in our large basement room. It'd be difficult to get out without injuring yourself if the power went out while you were inside. These lights will allow you to move to a room with more natural light or to one of the three flashlights kept in the room for emergency use. This device accomplishes that goal, but it isn't particularly bright. So it's "good enough," but that's all I have to say about it. You won't be getting a bright light like you'd find in a restaurant or a store. This one isn't too big. But I suppose it's OK for the money.
Only a sliver of light illuminated a dimly lit corridor. Terrible! A flash light with 60 lumens produces less light than a high-powered flashlight. In a dim light, I tried to light up the corridor. Of course, the amount of light output is less than dim, so it will last 40 hours. It has only four LEDs in each light, which is HORRIBLE; buy this piece of garbage if you want someone to have an accident in your house when the lights go out. br>$50? You've got to be kidding me. Purchase rechargeable plug-in flash lights and place one in each room; the light output is approximately one minute. Double the light output of this thing or, better yet, buy an LED camping light with crank and solar recharge; the light output is 10 times what these are and you can recharge them by cranking a handle or leaving them in a sunny window during the day; they last for years and are portable; yes, you can walk around the house, outside, etc. in the dark and they'll last for a year. THIS LIGHT WILL RETURN RIGHT AWAY!.
How long does a D cell battery last when used to power a pen light? When the lights go out and this comes on, it's as if the lights haven't gone out at all. What a sham and a hunk of junk. This light, as well as the exit signs with emergence lighting turned out to be defective, according to the building inspector. For only a few dollars more, go to your local electrical supply store and purchase real lights. You will be much happier. Sincerely, A White Man In Maine.
We live in a remote area where power outages are common. This was purchased and hung near the front door in the living room. The power was cut off, as expected. The living room could be illuminated with just one light. The blackout lasted for three hours. The light lasted for 5 hours, and there was plenty of time left over. The worst-case scenario is getting soapy in the shower late at night when the power goes out (yes, this has happened), so we ordered one for the bathroom and one for the back door. It's an excellent automatic light for locating LED lanterns. If you want, you can unplug the light's cord, remove it from the wall, and carry it around. It beats the stress of looking for a flashlight in the dark.
I paid 00 for this and it was supposed to be new, but it was obvious that it had been returned at least once because the light came on and was left on for some time right out of the box, indicating that the battery had already been charged at least once, despite the fact that the directions stated that the battery must be charged for at least 48 hours. I don't complain often, and this is the first time I have ever had a problem on Amazon, but when I pay for something new, I expect it to be One more thing, this light has two round pads on the bottom for setting on a flat surface, and it looks like someone tried or opened the battery case because the bottom has a crack around it where the battery is, and whoever opened it did not put it back together right because the pads are not flat and it wanted to fall forward until I put cardboard under the front side. Sorry, but the only reason I am not returning it is because I had purchased it.
If you need light right away when the power goes out, this is a great light to have. I live in West Virginia, and we lose power several times a year, sometimes for a few minutes and sometimes for hours. I have four of these strategically placed throughout the house, and when the power goes out, we still have emergency lighting in seconds. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to avoid being caught off guard. They'll run for at least 20 hours and should last the duration of the outage. If you lose power during the day, you can turn them off and on as needed. I strongly suggest getting one for the bathroom because there's nothing worse than taking a shower and finding yourself in the dark. For the money, this is a fantastic purchase!.
