I wasn't able to make my problem go away with the receiver. However, the fan did not work and the light did not work either. You can replace the light unit instead of the speaker if that is the case. Asking manufacturers would be a good idea, in my opinion.

How do I know if it is the receiver or the light kit that doesn't work because the fan works but the light doesn't?

The light will not work if the fan works, so the bulb will likely need to be replaced. In order to rule out the receiver, you can connect the fan and light directly to the power source, but it seems that the problem is with the light

Do you include instructions on how to install this?

Yes, you will receive instructions with the Connecting it to the computer is easy since it only has a few wires. A standard canopy will not allow the receiver to fit. If it is in the ceiling, it probably will have to be mounted

It is very disappointing that my Minka fan stopped working after 13 months. I did replace the receiver today after observing some reviews that suggested it was the receiver. The fan is now working again after replacing the receiver. it is 5 stars for the receiver, but 2 stars for Minka, as the original receiver should last for longer than 13 months, 1 month beyond the expiration date given that this was a high-quality product.

The following is a note A sticker on the side of this indicates that it is only for LEDs

The part number P001021700S is being replaced with this one. The sticker on the side I noticed on the product said something to the effect of "LED Only" - When I installed it, it said "LED Only" - Infrared bulbs are used in my house. To be on the safe side, I ordered LED bulbs The conversion to LED is not a major issue as I only intend to use LED lighting. This should have been clearly stated in the product description so I could have ordered the bulbs at the same time.
Minka Aire does not have any specs to describe what the differences are - there would be no need to order extra bulbs. It would be great if Minka Aire made the technical information more readily.

I expected the outcome to be that it did. As a rule, Minka should not restrict the warranty on this item since it has a high probability of having problems.

A perfect receiver replacement for a MinkaAir F1000 A failed receiver that came with the fan and had been working for about a year was replaced with this LCD light after I purchased the fan with an LCD light

I have been married for five years now. One more complaint is that it looks exactly like the one I pulled out, including the color, labels, etc, and I am concerned that it will not last much longer as well.
