It worked perfectly for me (when installed correctly). There are threads and holes in the cover of the glass You must turn the glass (like a lid on a jar) as you install it. However, there are no threads from the actual fan base! As a result, the glass is just sort of sitting inside a small I really don't understand what Hunter is doing. The fan I have is a BLUE one, and like another reviewer, it may have been there for 2 weeks & It's boom time! I have a very expensive coffee table that was shattered into a million pieces when the glass smashed onto it (thanks Hunter). As someone else pointed out, the chains are janky, and they rock the fan when they are pulled You are going to lose the glass within the first month of using it so there is literally no option to avoid it. you can go to the Hunter site and see if they have the product that you are looking for A long thread of comments talking about this issue & the glass will not be in stock until December 2018. You may want to search for the replacement glass for this fan.
So, in summary, I've had this fan for 2 weeks and I'll have to wait for 6 months to get a replacement glass that *probably will break and I'll have to wait for 6 months to replace it myself Take a break as soon as possible. It is time to take this fan off the market and to make sure it never returns In reality, I am quite surprised that it is even being sold at all considering the chance for buyers, their children and their pets to be injured.
In a nutshell, Those little fans are wonderful they move a lot of air and rotate nicely. They help keep the air moving and the rooms cool. We have two in our kitchen and one in our hallway. Generally, I find them to be pretty quiet, but they do make a little hum or noise, especially when the spin speed is set to the highest. A low-profile hang is characteristic of them. There is a nice frosted finish to the glass. Quite a bit of light is shed by them. Due to the fact that someone else installed it for us, I cannot speak for the ease of installation. I dislike that the pull strings don't pull very smoothly and that they are loud when pulling, which is my biggest complaint with the product. The revised version of this is The pull chains are fine. They come from a plastic piece that is angled, and the larger angle faced down instead of up. If you look at the bottom of the keychain, there is an angle. Here is a photo you can use as a reference, showing Here is a bit of information for those who also seem to be experiencing the same pull chain problem****These fans are very sleek and stylish. This is a wonderful It is totally worth it. I have posted a video so you can hear or see how the chains pull, and how the settings work.
The two of these have just been added. Woodworkers have access to virtually all the tools they need, as I have been doing so for close to 30 years. Despite the fact that the fans look nice and provide a nice breeze, installation of them was a hassle, as the title of this article mentions. In general, two issues stand out, one is a bit challenging, the other is just plain wrong This is 1. This is the hard part There is a bit of a trick to getting the screw into the light unit to hold it on, as noted by others. It is not possible for the wires around here to move easily because they are clamped down. In order to get the set screw in, I only had a millimetre of clearance. Getting the screws to work is a bit annoying, but with patience and a magnet screw head, you can do it. The second paragraph. There are several flaws in the current system Installing the machine screws into the blades of the fan- Despite my best efforts, I was unable to get all three screws to snap in snugly. When I first tightened each, I backed them off and started all three at the same time - Unfortunately, it didn't work. After tightening the other to ensure the holes are lined up, I realised that the holes were not lined up. Not at all. As soon as I took the blade out and tried to put the machine screw in after cursing and sweating for about 20 minutes, I realized AHAH. There is no fit for this! The whole time I thought I wasn't lining up the blade correctly, but about 4 of the machine screw holes would not accept the machine screws regardless of whether I lined them up correctly. To begin with, I assembled the fan starting with the pieces that would tighten, and then kept the others as loose as possible. Hunter doesn't seem like the person I would expect him to be.
It's a very efficient little fan, and it circulates air well. The following *br The noise is still audible, but not as loud as before. Despite having a ceiling fan with three blades the same size as this Hunter, my Westinghouse one is significantly louder. It's a great fan, and I have a lot of them. The noise level of this fan is slightly louder than the standard 54" or 52" Hunter fans. As a result, I reduced the star value to one because The following *br There are two dimmable 9w LED lights included in the kit, which is an extremely thoughtful feature.
Though the fan's span is very small in comparison to that of most other fans, it makes a lot of noise and the LED lights are very bright. used the Harbor Breeze fan remote and controller I had from the old fan to control the new fan, and it worked The fan has three fan speeds, and comes with LED bulbs that I installed. The Harbor Breeze dimmer remote works perfectly with the fan. Also, it was a bargain at You can find Amazon here - There is an MSRP of $20-$25 on it at Home Depot There are 30 more to go! a) The last fan I replaced had five blades, but I don't notice a big difference in the cooling performance Having three very short/stubby fan blades worried me that its cooling ability was going to be affected, but I am very impressed with how well it does. I find it attractive, though it may appear a bit stubby compared to other, much larger fans. One thing I particularly liked was how bright the light was. There are also two bulbs in my last fan, but they are weird "candlelabra" bulbs, which give off a very limited amount of The experience was very annoying for me. In addition, it is far more "eco-friendly" than my old fan, so I will definitely recoup my investment fairly quickly if I replace a couple of other older fans with it. it so much that I think I might replace my office fan with it, along with maybe the one in —(If you have any doubts, contact an electrician. ) I liked the way the instructions were While it is highly recommended to attach the blades to the motor unit before it is hung. In the manual, it suggests doing this step after it is hung. Doing this step thereafter would be much more difficult. Despite the fact that it is already balanced, I didn't have to use the included balancing kit, and it is remarkably quiet when you use it I found the medium fan setting to be slightly noisy for some reason, but not a major issue for me. A less expensive dimmer and light switch will suffice, but you can also pick up a Harbor Breeze or Hunter brand dimmer quite easily online. It is worth getting a dimmer as this lamp is quite A long downrod may be necessary if there is a steep pitch/slope in your ceiling. Overall, a good product but may need to be upgraded if there is a strong pitch.
