There are a few centimeters of space below the surface of the base, a bit less than four cm. I am 75 inches tall. There is just a little less than one inch of space in the bracket "ball" opening. A 2 inch tag hangs from the ceiling for "Height".
The weight I put on it was about 50 pounds. The issue has not arisen. There is no doubt that it can hold the 80 lbs
Due to the fact that I know nothing about Hunter fans, I can't say.

A 42” hunter ceiling fan that came without a ceiling plate was purchased used, so this was purchased to hang it. When I called Hunter to buy a replacement, they were out of stock. Therefore, I looked on Amazon for this item.
Cause for Celebration - I used this bracket to hold the fan securely in place and it mounted easily to the hanger we used, which fit between the joists of the ceiling I. 1. Due to the lack of a ground wire on this bracket, a ground wire must be run from the ground screw on the metal box of the bracket to the ground screw on the ground screw on the ground screw. It can be used with other brands. This fan is not only perfect for hooking onto a Hampton Bay fan, fitting the ball hanger correctly, but has the correct amount of drop to fit into the ceiling. The part is made of cast aluminum and not plastic, yet it is sturdy and durable.
I was not exactly able to use this part when I got it. Images on the site are difficult to understand, but it appears that the mounting holes needed on the outer edges aren't there. In order to attach the cover cup, there should be screws on the side. This bracket needs to be rigged to cover it. Moreover, as others have mentioned, the brackets don't have the holes needed to secure the base cover that covers Those do come with a couple of foam pieces and some long screws, so they can be jury-rigged In an effort to solve a problem created by a poor design, a rig was rigged to serve this purpose, although this is an inelegant and unprofessional solution.
As long as you are ready to drill and tap the holes for the canopy's screws with the supplied bits, this is a good product. [The holes] were not the right size, or threaded.
I looked everywhere I could find in my area, but no one had this one piece. The Salvation Army told me all the parts of my ceiling fan were there when I bought it. This represents a huge step forward I liked that it was very fit and precisely as described and that it was at a great price. It took its time to get here, but that's to be expected. This is a recommendation I would give to anyone. My sincere thanks.
However, I made some modifications to it and it acts as a temporary solution for my needs.
