As the photo in the description indicates, the bag I received states the product was made in Brazil, not the United States. In my opinion, there is no longer any softener resin made in the United States. We recommend that you reconsider purchasing this product if you bought it based on the fact that it is made in the USA.
A water softener that's all in one is what I have. As soon as I bypassed the softener, I had slow running water in the house Plugging it in fixed the problem. This whole process of removing my water softener tank or the 100 lbs of wet resin was not easy somehow I managed to free it all. Not to mention the 3 bags of wet salt removed from the larger Taking the whole process from start to finish took me about 4 hours. A thick, orange pudding-like substance filled the old resin. As I said, I bought the funnel and was glad I did, as it would have been a mess to pour 100 lbs of dry resin into a Also, I encountered a mystery "Chinese puzzle" when putting the collar back on the resin tank. Pay attention to how this goes together (it is not screwed on like in the video). This time the water is soft, and I am completely satisfied I saved $300 and maybe have a better computer than I would have bought new. Is it something I would do Since the softener is over 14 years old, I am unsure and I would not replace it.
The softener was restored to like new condition after being 9 years old. There was a suspicion that the resin was worn My water was only being lowered to 10 grains despite it being really hard (19 grains).
It seems to be made in the United States. After letting the water run for a few minutes, you can test it (cold side from the The water I was using was 19 grains, but now I have Hach water hardness kit is what I use (for hardness testing).
Using the purpose-made funnel and a smaller bucket, I was able to replace the old resin despite the weight of it being a heavy bag. The drop tube needs to be taped so that resin doesn't get into it and the tube should be put in before filling with the new product, as I don't think you can do it after the product has been filled.
During this process I had my Fleck water softener resin replaced. When I bought a second bag of this resin, the company actually contacted me to verify that I hadn't made a mistake, which I believe was above and beyond what's expected. We needed to replace the resin since it'd been 14 years since the water conditioner was installed and the water had become hard. In addition to the gravel on Amazon, I bought the bottom materials for the tank on this website.
Handling the old resin from the water softener reminded me of how difficult it was to remove the old paint from the walls Scours of the stinking calf. A new resin that is filled with the inexpensive funnel designed for servicing water softeners works great. Since I won't be ingesting anything I don't recognize, I chose Purolite over a cheaper foreign product. Whatever is in this stuff is going down my gullet, and I really don't need a case of the scours.
On the bottom there is a sticker that says "Made in USA," but the printing on the bag seems to be indicating it has Purolite from Brazil, Imported into Brasil. What's the story here? Was this manufactured for Brazil? Is the quality of their products comparable to ours? Are they In an effort to find out what they know, I have written to the Purolite Company. There is an Amazon listing for this that sells it for almost half what I could get it As soon as I have answers, I will not use it.
You can use it to drink Our water (from our well) has never tasted better since I added two cubic feet of resin to my mineral tank. Making sure the resin is made in the U. S. was important to me if it is going to be used for drinking water. Choosing to stay with my wife was my choice and I am very happy with the decision.
