As a replacement part for my Kenmore water softener's venturi assembly, this part was an exact match. A new one was very easy to install. The water had to be turned off to the unit, but we didn't have to. In the same way as others here, my issue was that the salt tank for the softner would slowly fill up with water because not all of the brine would be sucked into the bottom during regeneration. In spite of removal and cleaning of the original assembly, I was still unable to resolve the problem. I installed the new one and the problem was fixed on the first reboot after installation. My wife and I are very satisfied.
