Questions & Answers

Is it possible to put a drain on either side of this sink?

Miangus- It is not possible to reverse this sink model. The sink's drain is at the back.

Is it possible to use this sink with laminate counters?

Thank you for contacting Elkay with your inquiry about the Elkay ELGU13322WH0 Quartz Classic Single Bowl Undermount Sink. We recommend that undermount sinks, such as this Quartz model, be installed only on solid surface countertops such as granite, as laminate countertops may not be able to support the sink's weight when undermounted. If you have a laminate countertop, the Elkay ELG13322WH0 Quartz Classic Single Bowl Drop-In Sink is a good choice. in Sink.

Is the garbage disposal flange included in this sink? Is it the same color as the white sink?

The disposer flange is not included in this price. The matching disposer flange can be purchased separately, but it's plastic, so I'm thinking about returning mine in favor of the metal piece that comes with most new disposals.

Is it possible to order this sink in a 30" size with the drain on the left side?

The best part about this sink is that you can drain any amount of water!

It looks fantastic! More resistant to corrosion than stainless steel
5/5

When I was doing a kitchen remodel, I came across this sink. To be honest, stainless steel was what I was looking for. We decided to give this a try after seeing it on display in a kitchen supply store and seeing how well it held up in comparison to the stainless steel sinks (which were all scratched up). It looks great and lasts a lot longer. We live in an area with hard water, so stainless steel was always stained. Every time we used the sink, we'd have to wipe it down. This isn't the case. There are no watermarks visible. It's simple to keep clean and it stays that way. We like it a lot.

This sink is truly a work of art
5/5

My wife and I have wanted to remodel our kitchen for a long time, but we weren't sure where to start because we liked so many of the ideas we saw. We knew we wanted that look after staying at an AirBNB with gorgeous white quartz counters and a large single bowl black sink. br>br>I had my heart set on the Blanco sink, which is very similar but a lot more expensive; however, after reading some Elkay reviews and seeing some Reddit posts about the brand, I decided to go with this one, and I am very happy with it so far! br>br>First and foremost, the sink is black, but not in the "omission of all light" sense. It's a dark color with a distinct texture that gives it a nice appearance, almost like coarse stone. It reflects just enough light to allow you to appreciate its nuances. br>br>The first thing I noticed about this sink is that when the water is running at high pressure, all you can hear is the water running from the faucet. As opposed to a stainless steel sink, there is no resonating sound from the water impacting the sink. As strange as it may sound, this may be my favorite aspect. It's the same feeling you get when you close the door to a very high-rise building. It's a solid sound/feel that doesn't shake the car at all. It's difficult to explain, but if you have a stainless sink, turn your faucet on high and in sprayer mode and listen to how the sound of the water hitting the sink echoes/resonates out. That isn't the case with this sink. br>br>I dropped my small cast iron pan in the sink from about 6 inches up and there wasn't even a scuff, let alone a scratch, so I'm guessing this sink will hold up to the kind of random abuse that a lot of sinks get. It's made of such a tough material that scrubbing it feels like scrubbing a very hard stone, and it'll take millions of years to make an impact. Food doesn't stick to it either, making it very easy to clean. If you're replacing a double bowl sink with this or any other single bowl sink, the offset drain should be your top priority. It allows you to stack dishes to one side, as in a double bowl, while still having access to the garbage disposal/drain plug and plenty of space to work with dirty dishes. A centered drain would have been easily covered and inaccessible once it began to fill with dishes, pots, pans, and other items. br>br>I am completely smitten. Despite spending thousands of dollars on new countertops and a gorgeous subway tile backsplash, this sink is my favorite part of my new kitchen (3x6 subway tile with DeLorean grey grout, for anyone curious - I didn't want pure white grout because it would show stains easily, but I also didn't want dark grey because it would be too busy and show grout line inconsistencies). Elkay sinks are a great option if you're looking for a new sink. I'm blown away, and I'm going to try to use them for my bathroom sinks as well when I get around to it. To avoid sounding like a salesperson, this company should be extremely proud of themselves for not only creating a stunning, high-quality product, but also for keeping the price so low! It's not every day that I fall in love with a specific brand. Especially in today's world, where businesses appear to have become so greedy that they offer so little in exchange for money. I see the price has gone up a little, but I paid $316, and knowing what I know now, I would gladly pay $400 if I had to. I'm amazed at how much I adore a sink! br>br>ONE THING TO REMEMBER! Unless your garbage disposable already has a black flange, you'll most likely need to purchase one; otherwise, you'll end up with a silver ring around the drain, which isn't ideal. I chose the $20 version over the $6 version I saw on Amazon, and I have no regrets about spending the extra money. The flange is very simple to put in place. It simply slips into the existing drain, covers/seals the silver ring below, and that's all there is to it! It's so tight that you'd swear it was built into the sink or that it came with it. The one I got was as follows: for the purpose of reading I hope this review was beneficial to any other indecisive individuals out there!.

Be cautious of items that have been removed from their original packaging
3/5

I really like the sink, but I got it on sale as an open box item that was supposed to be brand new when I bought it. We checked it for scratches, discoloration, cracks, and other flaws when it arrived, but we didn't notice that it wasn't in original condition. This fact escaped our notice until we went to install it and discovered that the entire back lip of the sink had been CUT (very nicely and cleanly, but still cut) off, leaving the countersink lip exposed. Because you know, remodels never go according to plan, the installation took place after my return window. Because of the cut, the sink would no longer be stable and level, nor would it be able to be placed under the counter. mounted in the manner indicated.

The terms "undermount" and "drop in" are used interchangeably
5/5

This is a lovely sink, but the "undermount" vs. "drop in" description is at the end of the title string, so if you need the other, you may end up ordering the wrong one. Make sure you order the correct one when you place your order. The seller, on the other hand, was very prompt in assisting with the return and credit.

Quartz is not a good choice
3/5

I'm coming back. I thought this was a quartz sink, but it's made of plastic? It appears to be durable, but it did not come with a drain as shown in the picture, and I'm disappointed that I wasted my time and money on it.

This appears to be an excellent suggestion
3/5

I like the size of this sink, and the white color goes well with my appliances; however, it appears to stain easily, and after about 6 months of use, it has begun to "yellow. " Prior to this, I had a double sink, which made cleaning large pans and other items difficult, and the single sink is ideal for this - However, I had no idea that crumbs would be so difficult to wash away - I constantly feel like I'm chasing them down the drain with the faucet (this is probably true of all single basins). I'd seen a sink with a partial divider that was about 2" high but wasn't in stock - I'm starting to regret not waiting. In addition, I wish this sink had been made of porcelain.

This sink is absolutely gorgeous
5/5

My new sink is fantastic. When the counter guy came to take measurements, he told me that the Koehler dual mount sink wasn't ideal because it had a built-in lip for overmounting. It appears that undermounting it would be a nightmare - They wouldn't be able to produce a precise cutout. As a result, I returned it and went to Amazon to look for this Elkay Quartz Classic. It was also extremely convenient that I could have it shipped directly to the counter vendor, which cut down on the amount of time I had to wait for my new counter. I'm completely smitten with my new sink now that it's been installed. It's elegant and lovely, and the extra depth provides the extra storage space my family of five requires. I paid a premium over the Koehler, and it was well worth it.

Quartz is not a good choice
3/5

This isn't the quartz that the title suggests. It's made of rubber. This is ridiculously expensive at over $300, but returning it would cost us half the price, so we're stuck.
