Questions & Answers

Is it possible to extend the spout further? Is the soap causing the tip to discolor? When the pump is depressed for soap to come out, how is the return?

The soap will fall into the basin in my sink if the spout is perfectly perpendicular to the sink's edge. However, if the soap is rotated even slightly, it falls onto the counter. It would have been perfect if the spout had been 1/2 inch longer. Because of this problem, I'm thinking about replacing it with a Moen S3947SRS.

Because there are no facts on this item, I was curious as to how much soap it could hold. ?

Instead of using the bottle, go to Home Depot and get a 5/16" OD vinyl tube. fits perfectly in the pump's bottom. Also, run a 30 to 40" tube from the pump to the large store-bought bottle of soap in the cabinet's bottom shelf. The small bottle will never need to be refilled again - When the large store bottle runs out, simply swap it out. Also, for a perfect fit in the end of the tube to insert in the soap bottle, get some metal straws (StrawExpert Set of 16 Reusable Stainless Steel Straws on Amazon). The curly tube doesn't want to stay at the bottom of the bottle to get the last drop of soap, so the straw solves that problem.

I bought two of them. Both have a hard time pumping out the full amount of material. Is it possible to return to full height after pumping? why?

The pumps appear to have a tendency to fail after a while, as noted in several of the reviews; however, Moen only sells the replacement pump part as part of a $19 kit that includes all plastic parts - tubes, bottle, pump, etc., and will not send the kit as a replacement part if the pump is missing - My experience with an Amazon warehouse purchase of a cosmetically damaged part. The Kohler 1041645 Soap and Lotion Dispenser Pump Assembly is a low-cost replacement pump that costs only $3 on Amazon. It fits perfectly but the pump stroke length is 25% shorter - As a result, you get slightly less soap per pump push, but it's usually enough, and the soap lasts longer, so it's a good solution to pump issues with this dispenser.

Is there a metal component on the top?

Yes. It's made entirely of metal and is extremely durable. Mine is perfect for me.

I bought five from Amazon Warehouse, all of which were in good condition
4/5

Only minor dings, but two were missing the pump part; excellent quality, even when purchased used from an Amazon warehouse (damaged package / returned). They were half the price and had no or only minor dings on the top edge of the base that are easily hidden, but two out of five were missing the pump mechanism. In addition, I've read a lot of reviews where people say the pump component breaks down after a few months. Part 344111, which costs $19 on Amazon or directly from Moen, is a more expensive option for replacing the pump. If there are missing parts, Moen will not support the product. You must purchase the $19 kit that includes all of the plastic replacement parts - The majority of which you do not require. Other than that, Moen doesn't have a backup plan. However, I discovered a better alternative = Kohler 1041645 Soap and Lotion Dispenser Pump Assembly, which is also available on Amazon for the same price. Same pump size as 25% shorter pump stroke length as 25 shorter pump stroke length as 25 shorter stroke length as 25 shorter stroke length It appears to be a simple method of repairing these dispensers if/when they break. br>br>Instead of using the bottle, go to Home Depot and get a 5/16" OD vinyl tube. fits perfectly in the pump's bottom. Disappointment on a Grand Scale - From the beginning, the pump action was stiff
3/5

In April 2016, I purchased a Moen 7594ESRS Arbor With Motionsense One-Touch. Reflex, Spot Resist Stainless Steel Handle High Arc Pulldown Kitchen Faucet Last spring, I made the decision to purchase this matching soap dispenser. After 6 months of daily use, I can say that this is the first Moen product that has let me down. a complete letdown - It offends me greatly. Pros: It has a great design and finish that makes it look awesome and stylish. Cons: It has a horrible stiff pump action that takes a lot of force to get it to pump, and it's just a pain to use. Ultimate Kitchen, which is a lot less expensive, Although the Stainless Steel Sink Soap Dispenser (Satin), also available on Amazon, is a far superior product in terms of required force to pump the soap, I prefer the Moen's overall design. I really like the Moen design, but I wish it worked better. Unfortunately, the Moen costs three times as much ($75 vs. $25). , it simply fails miserably. What a huge letdown. Buyer beware; I did not receive what I had paid for in this case.

Long- Review of the term - Information that is useful
3/5

After a year of ownership, here is an update: The pump will begin to fail, but there is a solution. When I pressed down on the pump after about 6 months, it didn't quickly return to its original position. It would be s You couldn't pump 2x right away because you had to get back up. Our dishwashing was definitely slowed by it. I purchased Moen part 344111 (MAKE SURE TO BUY THIS ONE! ) after another 6 months of annoyance. You'll need the plastic tube assembly, which is included in this parts kit. It also comes with a soap container, which you won't use because the original is difficult to remove and they last forever. br>br>Not only did this replacement solve the problem, but it also outperformed the original components. It's interesting to note that a number of other reviewers have noticed the same issue. I hope my review has aided you in making an informed decision, and if you purchase this and experience the same issue, simply purchase the $15-$20 part I mentioned above. Original Review: br>br>Original Review: br>br>Original Review: br>br>O br>br>It has a nice appearance and is small in size (approximately 2. The mechanism is 75 inches tall. It's not light like the less expensive alternatives, which are made up of more plastic than metal. So far, everything seems to be going well, BUT! Other high-end dispensers allow you to lightly press for a small amount of soap, but not this one. If it doesn't go down after a few attempts, you increase the pressure. Then bam! You've just received roughly three times the amount of soap you requested. br>br>The only flaw is as stated above. Also, drill from both sides (top and bottom) when drilling the hole in your sink. Because I only drilled from the top, the metal surrounding the hole was pushed down a little, causing a small moat of water to form around the dispenser's rim. For this, I give it a four-out-of-five rating. Overall, I would recommend it. br>br>To demonstrate the "moat," I uploaded a photo. " I'm hoping it will show up. br>br>Best of luck, and thank you for taking the time to read this!.
