Questions & Answers
To clean the grid, I use the same stainless steel cleaner I use for my sinks. You should be able to put it in the dishwasher, though - I've never done it before. The grid is a high-quality product that has held up well over time.
I'm not sure, but it appears to be of good quality and originates from Germany!
I went back over the ad and couldn't find 2. It'll fit in a double-bowl sink vs. a single-bowl sink. A single bowl sink is available, but you must purchase one for each side.

The grid is extremely sturdy and well constructed, and I like how it has legs on the bottom to raise it above the sink's bottom. The only issue I have is that the strainer hole is a little further back than my strainer is (as shown in the photo I uploaded), but I can still remove the strainer without difficulty. My kitchen sink is a standard stainless steel undermount model.
This "sink saver" (as we call them) was well constructed, but we had to return it because it was just a smidgeon too small for our sink. That was not the company's fault, and the product itself appeared to be well-made, so I'm still giving it the five stars it deserves. I'm not sure how people can give a product a low rating because of their own stupid mistake, but I'm not doing it. This is a good product; however, it is not the fault of the company, which I am unable to assess (@$.
Although there appears to be no standard size for sinks, this protection grid fits my double (50-gallon) sink perfectly. 50) has a great ability to sink. The only minor quibble is that the hole is a little too far back to align with the back drain, but this isn't a major issue. I contacted Franke customer service after one of the plastic bumpers on the grid was missing, and I spoke with a very friendly and helpful representative who asked me to email a photo of my sink, the grid, and my receipt. After that, I got two packets of spare feet and bumpers in about a week, all for free. The construction is very solid and will certainly hold whatever heavy pans or dishes are placed on it, which is excellent customer service. It is possible to re-use the bumpers. To protect the sink's surface, it should be positioned as needed. The sink's bottom corners have a 3" radius, just so you know. This purchase was very reasonably priced, and I am very happy with it.
They're nearly perfect for my sinks. Through the hole, I can remove a standard strainer. However, I prefer my rubber strainer, which is slightly larger and thus does not fit through the hole. To ensure that my sink was protected from the sink protector, I slid the end bumpers over to the corners. None of the steel touches my sinks while the bumpers are in this position. I'm very happy with the quality and appearance of the product.
This sink grid has been in my possession for nearly a year. I'm holding off on writing a review until I see how it holds up. I'm happy to say that I like it a lot! My kitchen sink is large and deep. Because of the slope, when I put dishes in, they slide down the drain. They can't do that because of the sink grid, which still looks good. It hasn't rusted because it hasn't been exposed to the elements My sink has not been scratched by the rubber feet. I also appreciate the hole in the middle, which allows me to use the garbage disposal without having to remove the entire grate. I just throw it in the dishwasher when I'm done with it.
I have a porcelain sink that requires the rubber guards to prevent scratching. The rack fits snugly against the sides of the sink, so removing and replacing it for cleaning leaves no marks on the sink. I have a cast iron frying pan that requires frequent cleaning, but the rack protects the sink well, which is why I purchased the product; it is well worth the money.
Fits the right-hand bowl perfectly in terms of length and width. For the left side bowl, I could use one that was 2" longer and the same width, but I couldn't find anything like that. I'll most likely order another of these and make do. It appears to be sturdy, and it outperforms my previous silicone mats. With this grid, it is much easier to rinse out the sink and keep it clean while protecting it from scratches, as opposed to those that trapped food and had to be removed and washed all of the time.
