Questions & Answers

Is it possible for a woman to use the urinal while in the passenger seat of a car? Is it necessary for you to exit the vehicle and stand?

You should be fine if you "stand up" a little and lean your lower back against the seat back. I prefer to stand or kneel rather than sit.

Is it like the travel john in that the top folds over and is taped shut?

It doesn't, but the polymer inside the bag absorbs the urine, ensuring that no urine leaks out.

Is it better to put the taller end in front or behind the shorter end? Which method is more effective at containing a woman's stream?

Personal preference and the bag's intended use are factors to consider. If you're standing, having a high end in the front may be more convenient. Put the high end in the back if you're sitting or squatting. Make sure the urinal is securely attached to your body before urinating into the bag. If you want a wider opening, you can use your palms to push the front and back ends together. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Tina

What is the significance of the cup's diminutive size? You can't use that in a car without squirting pee all over the place! ?

Push the top of the unisex adapter to make it more flexible. To make a larger opening, join the bottom ends. We strongly advise that you try our products at home to see how you prefer to use them.

Travel Jane is identical to TravelJohn in terms of size and shape
3/5

It's all pink! While traveljohns are very absorbent and useful in an emergency, men find them easier to use than women due to the size and shape of the rim. I expected a rim design tailored to women's needs when I saw that they now make TravelJanes. They were simply tinted pink instead!.

When traveling during the coronavirus pandemic, it helped me avoid stopping at rest stops
5/5

I wanted to keep my contact with the outside world to a minimum while traveling, and this was a good way to do that. When I've used up all of the units in this pack, I'd buy it again. I'll admit that peeing in your car is a VERY strange experience for women. I'm not afraid of anything, but the combination of liquid, temperature, and the bag becoming heavy as the gel absorbs took a while to get used to. The first couple of times I used it, I had to fight my instincts that it was leaking (it wasn't, but the cup area sure FELT overflowing). Just keep in mind - I wish I had known more about what to expect, and on the way back, I parked far away from other cars and sat in the back seat for more space. The back seat was packed on the way back, and I wished I'd planned ahead and left one side empty - It was much more difficult to move around in the front seat; However, I was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked. br>br>Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked. I'd buy it again, and depending on how this health crisis plays out, I might have to. A well-thought-out product that did exactly what it was supposed to do.

In theory, this is a fantastic idea
3/5

I bought these for camping because we go on long hikes and have two small children. I'm also nursing, which necessitates a lot of water consumption, and I have to go to the bathroom frequently. The first thing that struck me was how small the opening is for a woman. It worked, but there's no way to position this thing discreetly! The second (and more serious) issue is that, while these bags can hold a lot of liquid and are leak-proof, it takes a beat for the liquid to absorb into the gel, which means you have to keep an eye on the amount in the bag before it absorbs. Because the bag is pink, it's a challenge. It's simple to overflow. I know what I'm talking about. It was a truly awful encounter. This has some advantages, which is why I gave it three stars. It is effective. when you're in a hurry All you have to do is be aware of the flaws. While I don't see this being used while stuck in traffic, you could certainly use it if there is a semi-congested area. To properly finagle it and monitor the liquid level, you'll need a private location. For kids, it's fantastic! My kids were content the entire day on the trail and didn't complain once.

There is no way to close it because there is no seal
3/5

For me, this is a Big No! They won't leak, but they will spill because there is no way to close them after use. I'm a female truck driver, and I needed something that would allow me to avoid going inside truck stops at all hours of the night. I could, however, use this bag, but because there is no way to seal it for future use, I had to discard it after the first use. Money is being squandered! Furthermore, tossing these in the trash and allowing them to spill is not a good idea! I'm not going to purchase anything else!.

It's simple to use and foolproof
5/5

On a cross-country trip, this is an incredible lifesaver. When we didn't want to waste time waiting in lines at rest stops, we took a country road trip. We made a pop-up book. We packed a camping shower (a standing mini tent) in the trunk and simply hopped inside with these to create our own private bathrooms wherever we felt like stopping. Messes are not a problem for me. I would strongly suggest it.

One should be kept in the glovebox
5/5

We've been buying these for years after being stuck in horrendous traffic with a toddler for hours, and I'm glad it's now available on Amazon. I first saw this product in a camping store years ago, and I'm glad it's now available on Amazon. In both of our cars, I have one in the glove compartment. Although this is a "Travel Jane," it is suitable for anyone—the Jane is simply more convenient to use for women. When you close the bag, the urine turns into a gel that won't leak. This is an excellent product, and with so many public restrooms closed or unsafe during the pandemic, I recommend keeping one in your vehicle.
