Questions & Answers

Could this part seal our kohler toilet? I have been buying a Korky 435BP universal 3 inch valve seal kit. Will this part work?

If I were to get a 5, I wouldn't need the 3 Contains all the seals you need to repair your Kohler valve. Although the color of the tank was yellow instead of red, you must have the Kohler compatible tank to use it. A new one was easy to install.

Are these gaskets covered by a warranty? This month, I replaced all five of my toilets with these and now three of them are leaking ?

You have to pay an extra fee.

How large is the seal (ID & OD) and how thick is it?

This is what it looks like in inches and centimeters The dimensions are 3 1/4" D. 3 1/2" A thickening of about 1/16" is achieved at 2 5/8" in diameter. I have given the distance in centimeters. It is approximately. The size of the sheet is 4 cm by 8 cm. The width of the pillar is 4cm and its thickness is 2cm. Despite being stretchy, it can fit an object up to 16th of an inch larger in If a smaller measurement is needed, I would not recommend this. Unlike the OEM original, the seal on this cylinder seems to be more durable. It is for Part # 1016219 for a Kohler toilet flush valve seal. This seal is yellow instead of red, as the original is red. I'm very pleased with the result.

The seal on this should replace 1016219 from KOLER?

It is true. That was the exact number I had, and it sealed

This is a waste of time and money
4/5

It is a no brainer for me since the Kohler canister type flush seals last in our case, less than a year on one and 3 years on another, and the price for this item with five seals was $15 plus and one Kohler replacement was $7 plus. It was disheartening to see how much water was wasted in the spare bathroom alone. Having been a mechanical engineer for many years, I am amazed that this design exists, especially from a company that I have been using for many years (old versions were all flappers). The quality of this toilet design and its installation has been the worst out of 9 homes we've built. The house we live in now will be our last. I did not feel it was worthwhile to switch to a flapper design or to change the toilets to American Standard.
I also turned off the water in the spare bathroom when it wasn't in use since I could not trust the original one. Depending on the hardness and impurities of the water, seals can live anywhere from 10 to 50 years. It takes about five minutes to change a new seal. When the seal is about to fail, you'll find it takes a little longer for the tank to fill before it shuts off or it is taking more pressure to use the flush valve.

Prior to replacing the old seal, clean the debris from the old seal
5/5

I have been using them for a couple days now without any leaks, and they are just as good as the OEM seals. In case there are any problems with this review, I will update it. My suspicion is that the people who had leaks might have been overlooking debris left behind on the valve from a previous gasket or seal. I removed the old one and found rubber bits stuck to the top and bottom of the valve, as well as in the channel that the seal resides The wash cloth and q-tips I used for this job The new gasket hasn't leaked, so it's a good idea to clean it out before installing it.

It is a good idea to save It's really true
3/5

It turned out that we had two Kohler Cimarron toilets that were The Kohler-multipack of aprons looked interesting, so I decided to go for it Suitable gaskets can be found here. The decision was a bad one. Even though a rubber gasket shouldn't make much of a difference, both toilets had to be kept running in order to replace water that was still leaking. Following that, I bought one of the Kohler OEM replacement gaskets and was good to go. Leakage is not an issue. I can't believe this aftermarket knockoff is the same as the real deal. You are wasting your time and.

The size is slightly different from OEM devices, they last about two months after purchase
3/5

Two Kohler toilets that were installed in Oct 2016 required replacement of OEM seals, so I purchased a 5 pack in March 2018. I noticed right away that these seals were different in diameters and widths (see attached pictures), but decided to go for it I installed the 1st part of seals in March of 2018. After just a few months they began leaking. Another set came from a 5 pack. I installed it in October 2018 and they lasted only one month. Having now changed the 2nd set of seals with ones from another manufacturer, I hope they will It would not be a good idea to.

It was exactly what I needed! With two Kohler toilets that have cannisters, I got a great deal Flushing systems are available in different styles
5/5

The silcon ring at the base of the cannister eventually wore out, which caused water to leak out of the tank and the tank to always have to be refilled. One of those things can leak a large amount of water if it is leaking, and you may be shocked by how much it can churn. I was surprised to see how much it cost me Having reached my wits' end, I was desperate. There was nothing like this at any of the hardware stores, so I was beginning to think I'd have to replace the whole set. My last-ditch attempt to fix the problem myself led me to Amazon. I searched for these and found them, and boy, am I glad I was able to install these rings in a snap, and now my toilet tank is leak-free. The extras were even more effective, so I'm good for the next time, or for when the one in the other bathroom really needs to be replaced As opposed to those that aren't used as often Has a broken ring and needs a replacement. Fortunately, they do not have to be changed as often as they used to, as their original one lasted 7 years.

I can't say enough good things about the product & company
5/5

Newer Kohler toilets still have rubber gaskets to seal their tanks. In my toilet, there is a cabinet within the tank. It took me some time to decide whether to order replacement gaskets on line, but I didn't regret doing so. (2) days later we received the package of (5). It was very reasonable and it arrived in good shape. I am very pleased with the quality and fit of these shoes. Using this company again in the future would be a pleasure and I will be a customer for life.

The valve on a Kohler flushes if the motor runs
5/5

I don't want to discuss how difficult it has been to have to deal with my Kohler toilets, right? A few times a year In 12 months, I begin to notice that my toilets run for 4 hours at a time Each interval lasts for five seconds. There are yearly deposits on the valve seats and seals, or if the high-pressured city water consumes the seals and they wear down. I'm not sure what causes it. As they run more and more, they are literally flushing money down the drain every few minutes. There is no need to worry since these seals are easy to Video is readily available on the Internet, but it takes longer to make the video than to describe it. The process of switching out one can be completed in approximately 30 seconds (I've been practicing a lot). Once the toilet is fix, the problem will be resolved. I am planning to stay for another 6 months Until 12 months from now. I keep a few seals in my stash of spare parts because they're not expensive. It is thus easy to swap one out at the drop of a hat. I keep a spare flush valve assembly in my storeroom too, just in case the damage is too extensive for a simple seal replacement. However, I have yet to use It works 100% of the time if you replace the seal. Hey, just because I'm stuck with these toilets doesn't mean I have to listen to them leaking.

The price is reasonable, and the product works well
5/5

The order arrived promptly and the shoe fit well. As soon as I noticed the toilet running again, I immediately turned it off. Compared to what was replaced, the rubber material appears just as good or better. Neither do I know if this seal will be more durable or less durable than the seal it replaced, but I will try to remember to provide additional feedback. Compared with these, the last set of seals probably lasted a year or two or more, but they cost twice as much. It was a simple install that took only 2 minutes. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product as of now.
