You can save yourself from some potential problems by reading my tips on how to clarify seals! The product works incredibly well, and since I had two Kohler toilets with the same problem, this was 100's of dollars cheaper (and easier) than contacting Even the instructions came with the product, which is a great level of service
5/5

Here are some 1) When turning the valve stem inside the cylinder 1/4 turn counter-clockwise, which is the first thing you should do To turn the canister counterclockwise, hold it up from underneath (but still inside the tank) and turn it from the bottom up. Feel like you'll get much more leverage from the bottom rather than the top if you hold your hand out. It is likely you will break the valve stem if you turn from the top of the canister. The kit needs to make this clear because it is important information. 3) Whilst removing the valve stem and the old gasket, make sure you clean the surface of the new gasket by wiping off any old rotten rubber that may have been used on the old gasket. This can be easily accomplished with a tissue. You do not want any debris to interfere with the 1) You will notice that it feels small when you first put it on. 2. There is no trick to this you just have to place the inner ring of the seal gently around the canister lip. If you want to ensure a good fit, you should go around it a couple of times. This step is especially important since failing to do so may result in your toilet leak continuing (and frustrating you for quite some time). 4) When you're ready to put it back together, do the opposite of what you did the first time, making sure you turn the valve stem from underneath the canister, not from Additionally, you should run a couple of test flushes to make sure that it functions properly and that the seal is intact.

5) Some people here claim that the repair takes 30 seconds. if the above precautions and test flushes are taken, it takes less than five minutes to flush a Here we are! As a reward for your hard work, you deserve an Adult Beverage!.

It was very clear and easy to follow the instructions, and the ghosting/leak was resolved immediately

You can count on them! I made the mistake of having my wife drop in on me Toilet bowl) chlorine tablets. Sadly, it was too late for me to notice and the damage had already been Several Kohler toilets had problems with ghost flushes, where water slowly leaks out of the tank into the bowl, causing the toilet to refill itself from time to time. One toilet was hard to flush - this was because the tank of the toilet was too small. There was a lot of resistance when you pushed down the lever, as if there was something Since I had never worked on a fancy Kohler mechanism before, I was concerned that the repair would be bad. After checking the internet, I learned that a faulty gasket was likely to be the cause, so I ordered a replacement. a pack of. In addition to the clear written instructions, it had directions on how to remove the assembly (by simply turning it quarter-turns) so that you can access the valve seal. After I figured out what needs to be done, the first toilet took about 2 minutes to fix, and the second toilet only took about 1 minute. There are leaks in my house- After a few hours, I tested the water storage tank by placing a few drops of food coloring in it and letting it sit. When I returned later, the water in the bowl was clear. There was no color in the water. It has been confirmed that no leaks have taken place! As a result of the seals I received from Kohler), and the fact that the seals resolved my problem I would rate the product 5 It is justified to give this product a star rating. It doesn't seem to be a long lasting product, but as the thickness feels the same or better than stock, I doubt there will be any long-term issues. If this changes in the next few years, I will update my.

This is a quick and easy way to get rid of your Kohler toilet is making a little sound in the middle of the night, you may be experiencing the "slightly loud refill" blues
3/5

It's a simple cure that won't take long to work. In this case, the problem is a gasket at the bottom of the black cylindrical tube that is raised during flushing. The metal's surface becomes worn, smashed, and covered in mineral deposits, which precludes it from making a total seal when it returns to its original position. In this way, a trickle of water can slowly escape before the refill mechanism kicks in. Replacement is a snap Great product (except do not forget to remove the water tube as soon as possible in order to fully remove the black cylinder) I'm excited about the price! One of our games has been won! A new gasket (pictured) is placed in place of old gasket.

On either of my two Kohler toilets, the seal did not work
5/5

On either of my two Kohler canister toilets, the rubber seal did not seem to be performing properly. It took me about three weeks to finally defeat them. As much as I tried to clean the tank's surfaces, I even emptied the tank and did a thorough cleaning of the bottom to remove the sand particles that had settled over the years. I eventually went to my local hardware store and asked for help. Korky No. I found it to be the best. A seal with the number 435. At $6, you get two packages in one. There were 58 of them, and they were also red. Based on the comparison of red and yellow seals, the red seals from Korky were slightly smaller than those from Yellow. We are happy to report that they are working. There are no leaks in either toilet anymore. Once the yellow ones were in place and the water was turned off, both toilets would completely drain in about 36 to 48 hours after installation.
