Basically, my husband and I took the faucet parts with us to Lowes Home Improvement, and no matter who Created it before we bought our mobile home Mickey Mouse Job, the sizes and fittings that were used to create a bathtub faucet were not the ones that were actually real faucet parts. The only kit we were able to purchase that actually contained what we needed to be able to install the correct parts and make the faucet functional again was this one.
Although I am unsure of how much water this faucet can allow to flow through it, I can tell you that it is not a water-saving faucet and that it can fill up my bathtub that has a completely open drain faster than the drain can remove it.
It can be easy to install if you need a reducer, but I had to get one for mine. It is easy to figure out how to

I could not get this spout to function with my setup, despite claiming to be a universal fitting product with many adapters. Originally, I had a 3/4" rear connector on my existing spout, so I should have been able to use my That is not the case. I decided to remove the 1/2" to 3/4" adapter from the pipe stem, measured the distance to the wall to confirm it met the manufacturer specifications (it did), and screwed the new spout on. Despite several attempts, the shower spout could not be tightened enough to close the gap between it and the If I were to close the gap, I would need to remove 3/8" or more from the pipe stub. As long as you are installing this item within a new plumbing installation where you can easily cut the existing pipe stub and sweat the joints, you should be able to get away with this product. Otherwise, you might want to consider.
In the case of adapters, the pipe stuck out of the wall after being attached, but the "nose" of the included adapter pipe would not seal against the diverter's metal thread. In this case, both sides of the joint are provided by the company. It seemed to me that the male threads on the adapter pipe were too small (and not tapered), so no matter how tight the joint was, it still leaked at the shower head (yes, I taped the male thread to the adapter). At the point where those two parts converge, I assume there was a missing seal, much like a washer for hoses. In any event, I had to throw away the parts and get something else to replace them.
As a result of my local plumbing store being unable to assist and the diverter on my tub spout failing to cut off delivery (water was still coming into tub when I wanted it to go to the head of the shower), I ordered this product on an emergency basis. The Amazon quick ship service was offered to me because I was on deadline and had new tenants moving in. In reviews, it seemed to have a good reputation. After following all the instructions, 1) the plastic insert was stuck inside the spout and crooked, and 2) the spout would not align with the wall tile and was three quarters of an inch off with water I don't know how it worked and it just leaked water in all the wrong directions. Due to the plastic piece getting stuck inside the machine, I was forced to dispose of it altogether. My plumber added $60 to the bill when I called at the last minute to save my boot. The only thing I could have done would have been to call him and not waste so much of my time and money dealing with this garbage piece.
On the threaded pipe 1 1/2 inches from the wall, it worked well. As a result, I did not need to torque down on the fittings because I used plumber's tape on all threads. My extension tube snugly fit on the 1 1/2 inch pipe from the wall and I wasn't able to install the spout until after. I found it was a perfect fit Provided with a reducer for wearing down small pipe threads, as well as an Allen wrench adapter that adapts to threadless tubes. It might be possible to use this on a slightly longer pipe as well. Plam Pak PP825 - You can find instructions on Amazon by searching for 35BN. Plam Pak PP825 - The following PP825-35 are included Brushed Nickel, which is more expensive, is not necessary unless you want brushed nickel. 35BM are the same except for Brushed Nickel, which is more expensive.
Fits all types of fittings and is easy to use. The copper pipes are held firmly in place with two screws (be careful not to over tighten and damage your copper pipes). Unfortunately, it did not solve my leak issues, but I did not blame the product for that, my pipe has just taken too much wear over the years and is no longer true to shape for a proper installation It is made of a rubber ring. I had a 3-inch lead in my pipe, so I didn't have any problems. *If your spout leaks towards the back of it, it can run down your wall and possibly into the cutouts of the tiles. To fix this, I recommend that you try a product called Red Disc Seal (search the web for As a result, I was able to prevent further leaks into the back of my wall.
A universal fit may not be that universal after all. Although it was very difficult to install, I can't get it to fit properly in the Although it is cheaper and works better than my old one, it was still a bit problematic. It was a good value for money so it's the only reason I keep it.
Out of 4", I have a stub. It is easy to install. There is just one little There is a bit less information than in the This leaves a gap (about 1/8") between the sprout and the wall (even when a ring is used). Anyhow, it's not that big a deal to me.
The adapter was too short to work correctly, on the other hand.
