I couldn't be happier with the product and the color matched the rest of my decor perfectly. The ring is made of metal, and is sturdy and matched my decor perfectly. Plastic parts made up the interior that fit inside the valve. These parts would have been too small had the valve been larger. The things I did to make it work should help it last for a long time, but I do not know how long it will last.

You've done a beautiful job! What a great idea! If you got new sinks for a bathroom remodel, but were unable to find brushed nickel overflow covers, what do you do? Found these and they're perfect! I didn't realize they'd be able to withstand such a lot of weight! I love how they look
