I'm glad to have decided this way since it has great coverage in a normal tub/shower, it's like being in the rain tropically. The 16" rain shower head is my third purchase of this size. One of the $300 jobs was the first. Frequently, the tips became clogged due to the weight of the water. Having bought one of these units for my upstairs bathroom and been so impressed with it, I bought another one for my guest room. To replace this water flow restrictor on my last unit, I had to drill it out. I don't like this one at all. You don't need it if you'd like more water flow.
