In a HD type store, look for regular PVC glue or ABS to PVC glue.
It appears to be intended for use with pvc drain pipe.
Yes, just clean it up and prime it, and you're ready to go. Fits a standard 2" shower trap perfectly.
Because my plumber couldn't figure it out, I ended up purchasing a new drain.

Bottom fitting was too small for two in ID, so I had to drill it out to get a proper ID. br>Updated at the request of the vendor:br>In the ad, calipers are shown on a rubber gasket with a 2" ID. The pipe has a diameter of 2" and a wall thickness of 2X the diameter. Because the Neodrain linear stainless steel pipe would not fit through the grommet, the ID of the plastic top had to be increased. In the bottom view, you have two options. The inside stop lip is much less than the 2" required by code for slip fit pipe with a 35" ID. Because the top is thin, the seep grooves are shallow, so I had to drill it out to 2" to satisfy the inspector, as well as fit an inflatable test plug into the pipe. A redesign is required.
The weep holes in this hub make it into the inner drain because the inner diameter of the upper part is larger than the ID of the lower part; the presence of the weep holes indicates that this drain is designed to be used with a rubber membrane between two layers of mud, rather than a liquid topical membrane (unless using the divot method). br>Perfect for use with Neodrain linear drains.
This is an outstanding piece of writing. If you're not hiring a contractor, watch YouTube videos to learn how to install properly.
On the inner ring of this item, there are channels. I included two photos to show the underside of the Ring as well as how it looks when it's installed on the main ring. Although I have not yet installed the pan liner, you can see the channel. I hope this information is useful to others.
The rubber part of the drainer will not lift up, and it is too short. I only used one "half mortar base. " The plastic component appears to be quite weak. I'm crossing my fingers that it lasts a long time.
The quality of this product is not very good. The material is poor, and the nails were smaller than those found in other stores, which is why I dislike this product; hopefully, the quality will improve in the future.
I've always preferred the Oatey brand and decided to give this one a try. Let me tell you, it's just as good, if not better. I would buy it again because it is well-made.
This worked beautifully with the shower membrane that I use in custom shower bases.
