These are highly magnetic, so they're not 304 stainless, and they're probably not even stainless. Because the materials are not listed as stainless (which would be a key marketing point), the packaging contradicts the seller. "Rust resistant," it says on the package. It appears that only the seller makes this stainless claim in the advertising, which appears to be completely false.
They should simply be replaced, and you should not be responsible for the cost.
A quarter inch is as close as I can get. I didn't think about the size, and the grommets on my old shower curtain were extremely difficult to get over. I succeeded using Vaseline, but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to change curtains without removing the grommets. Nonetheless, I enjoy them!

Stylists have been hanging denim with hooks for a long time, and I like these because they stay on the rod even when the pants are taken off. Even teenagers can keep an organized closet after the organizer is gone because they are large enough to fit most rods, heavy duty, and affordable.
Unfortunately, they are not made of stainless steel.
br>br>For years, we've used shower curtains with liners and have always struggled to remove, clean, and replace the liner. It's ridiculous how simple it is to remove and replace the liner with these hooks. This is a fantastic design. br>br>Also, we've been using adjustable shower curtain rods and traditional shower curtain hooks, and every time we open or close the curtains, some of the hooks catch at the point where the curtain rod's diameter changes. The little roller balls on top roll smoothly over that joint and are much quieter and easier to roll with these. At best, it's noisy and annoying, and at worst, the hooks jump off the rod and even mar the surface of the rod at the same time. And there hasn't been a single one of them who has jumped from the rod. br>br>I understand that these aren't life-changing issues, but at my age, the fewer annoyances the better. ) While calling them "utopia" may be a stretch, they are certainly pleasant.
On the curtain rod, these glide effortlessly and quietly. They're simple to use, with inner and outer liners, and they make changing shower curtains or taking them down to wash them a breeze. They're attractive, but they're still simple, and they hang well from the curtain rod. Shower curtains with a liner are something I would recommend to anyone who enjoys using them. We'll have to wait and see how they hold up over time now that I've been using them for a few weeks.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but I've been using the same plastic shower curtain rings for years. I had never considered swapping them out before. We did, however, install brass towel holders, and I decided to redo the rest of the room. I discovered the ideal shower curtain, upgraded my vinyl liner to linen, and discovered these curtain rings. I finally feel like I have a bathroom fit for a grown-up. The shower curtains fit perfectly on these, and it was so nice not to have to snap them on and off like I did with the old rings. I would recommend these to anyone looking for convenience and an upgrade in their bathroom! And I was expecting them to be loud as they dragged across the metal bar, but they aren't. 5 stars.
This was crucial because my husband was disappointed when I told him I had ordered a new shower curtain because our old one had snap-together rings that made it easy to put up and take down, as well as a companion liner that snaps into place on the shower curtain itself; To put it another way, both are extremely simple to erect and dismantle in a matter of seconds for easy cleaning. While the new shower curtain and liner were simple to install, they currently droop at the end due to the lack of a 12th hook. It appears that stylists hang them like this during shoots. I have a lot of jeans, and hanging them up with these hooks is one of the best tips I've gotten in a long time; it's so simple, and it frees up space in my closet, which is pretty small.
They're attractive and should work well for a curtain and liner that can be removed separately for laundering, but one package was missing four of the twelve hooks. I have a clawfoot tub with a full-circumference shower curtain, so all 24 hooks are required. Because I don't want a refund, I'm hoping Amazon will simply send the extra hooks. The Amazon description claims that this is stainless steel, but nowhere on the package does it say that, and it appears to be cheaply chromed beads that will rust long before anything truly stainless steel. I'll try to come back here and update this review if they do. We put it up in April 2017, so I'm curious how long it will last, and we've had some difficulty keeping the plastic inside curtain on the hooks. The outside cloth has stayed on the hook, but the rigidity of the plastic curtain causes it to occasionally ride up off the hook when sliding it open and closed. br>br>On July 6, 2018, an update was made: After about ten months, these began to rust, staining the curtains around the holes where they came into contact. My wife just purchased a new curtain to replace the stained one, so I'm guessing we'll go back to plastic. I would not purchase these items again.
