The product does what I want it to do. There were a few minor issues during installation but none afterward. Due to the updated listing, these issues were resolved. I bought this product since my apartment shutters had been destroyed by a cat, and since NICETOWN was offering a promotion on this and their curtains at the same time. * This rod is capable of extending up to 80" and supporting 30lbs, but I could only use 60" and a weight of 15lbs* for my task. It was packaged in a clear plastic sleeve with stapled caps, and came with plugs and caps. Instructions and an allen wrench were not included in the package for this product. I would like to point out that one of the biggest complaints I have with this item is the lack of instructions on the Wrapping the product in clear plastic and stapled the ends closed was the method of protection. It was only after I got one of the ends off that I discovered the rod ends were too large to fit the curtains they made. Depending on the size of the rod, you may be able to extend it by twisting the rod. I am not sure if the rod can be disassembled to put the curtains on it. It was obvious this information was not in the listing when I made the purchase.

As far as I knew, tension rods of this span could only be found in ten-foot lengths. As the curtain rings slide up and down the rod, the paint on the white section scratched off. The middle of the curtain rod sagged, so I fixed it with a curtain rod support (not It does not appear that the nickel rods would have caused any scratches if they had been available inside the packages. The packages were damaged on the inside with damaged suction cups. In the end, the second set proved beneficial since I needed the rods and there were none available elsewhere.

This product holds my curtains great and works well. If only the ends were packaged off rather than having to take a curtain end off to put it on, I would believe they should be packaged in that manner.
