Questions & Answers
It measures approximately 3/4" in length. In any case, you'll probably want to use a 1/4" drill bit to open up the hole a little. The spring will not pop out properly if it is too tight. If necessary, you can drill even deeper.
The ones I ordered had a diameter of 1/4 inch and a total length of 3/4 inch.

To install it, I had to slightly enlarge the hole, but it worked perfectly. Was it really worth it? Sure, go ahead. Replacing those shutters would have taken a long time and cost a lot of money. The rod that moves the shutters open and closed kept allowing the louvers to fall off. That problem was solved by using E 6000 to glue the rod back into place. It's a good thing it only involved one side of the shutter. Everything is now in working order. That E 6000 repaired a queen-sized inflatable mattress, and it's still going strong!.
A simple solution to a broken louver pin. The old pin had to be drilled out to make room for the new one. It took only 5 minutes to complete the job.
Installing it was a breeze. Even though the needle nose pliers I have are small, I was unable to remove the broken pin with them, but with a very small screw driver, I was able to flip it out without leaving a mark on the painted surface. It was a breeze to set up the new one. The shipping was prompt, and the package was well-protected inside a small bubble wrap envelope.
It was a perfect fit for my Plantation Shutters and was a breeze to put together! That's exactly what I was looking for!.
Exactly what I needed!.
Because the shutter spring did not fit my shutter, I had to drill a larger hole to accommodate it.
