Can these be described as When the siding is flush with and the window glass is on the same level, what offset would I need to use? An adjacent siding would be used as a mounting point for the hinge. ?

Is it possible to use these hinges on a brick house? Is it possible for the shutter to be thicker if the material used to make it is so thin?

They are attached to the brick molding between the stone and brick trim on my home. the base to be attached to the brick mold, the shutter was swung open so that it could lay flat against the stone and the base could be lowered. In the event that the distance from the surface of your brick to the surface of your brick molding (if you have such molding) exceeds that distance, the shutters may not lay flat.

Quality product with a simple design

My purpose in purchasing these was to test them out since I am building a house and would prefer real shutters instead of faux ones. Simple and appealing, these shutters should combine well with board and battens. You will need two sets of these for each window, as these are matched pairs. Though they are just simple hinges, the price could be a little lower because they are just simple hinges, but compared to the others I saw, these were more affordable.

It's Cheaper To Do It Locally, And It Looks And Works Great

Although they look great and work well, I had to mount the bar on the hinge up side down to allow our hand made shutters to mount to our newly installed windows that are flush (no exterior sill or recessed area) to The device worked well, but I only had one of them here to test before spending more money, the rest I found at the hardware store around here (Mom and Pop's). These exact items cost about half as much as the others and there was no shipping charge. Since there were no price changes or old stock, she could not have missed the price or mistaken it for an old stock price.
