Yes, it is possible. It can also withstand the elements. This is our second winter, and it hasn't slowed us down. Summers in Northern California can be particularly hot and humid. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
I've had mine for over a year and it spends the majority of each day in the El Paso sun and wind. It shows no signs of deterioration, unlike the lighter tarps. I am blown away.
It will keep the rain off, but in my experience in Florida, it only lasted about 8 months before ripping and becoming ruined. I would not purchase this item again.
It's 12 feet wide by 20 feet long, in my estimation. Grommets run the length of the tarp, allowing it to be positioned in any direction. I made a boat cover out of this.

The tarps' thickness is exactly what I was looking for. The product's quality control is insufficient - The grommets aren't stamped all the way in, they're stamped in different places, some of them fell apart as I opened the package, and the corners aren't finished. I bought two tarps, so it wasn't just one bad tarp that slipped through the cracks.
This was purchased in the middle of March, about six months ago. It's been covering a 28' sloop (mast down, no stanchions) for me. There are no hardpoints, and the bag is securely fastened with several grommets, but not as tight as a drum. A rip has developed in the tarp in an area that is not under any strain for some reason. Granted, the tarp has outlasted the standard blue poly types by a small margin. It's still just a poly tarp, after all. It has already begun to flake off white "snow. " With the sun shining on it, despite the white outer color and brown inner color, it is not very opaque. I wouldn't call it heavy-duty (think PVC-coated canvas), and aside from the welcome heat-resistance, I wouldn't call it comfortable. It's not worth seventy dollars to reflect white. Perhaps I was given a lemon. At this rate, it would be more cost effective to purchase a lightweight lumber tarp for three or four bills that would last the entire year rather than months. I'm not going to buy another one of these, regardless.
This one is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. It's strong and thick. We just used bungee cords to loosely anchor it down because the gromet holes are strong and secure. It has withstood heavy rains and winds, as well as 90-degree sunny days, and keeps our 31-foot TT cooler on the inside. This was an excellent purchase because I believe it will serve me well for a long time. All of the RV covers I read lasted only one or two seasons, according to the reviews I read. This tarp was well worth the money!br>Update November 2018: Last month, Hurricane Michael wreaked havoc on this tarp, but it held up admirably. It stayed put in the midst of Cat 5 winds for nearly four hours. Part of it only flipped up after a few of the bungee cords snapped. There were no tears, and the only thing missing were a few grommets where the bungees were attached. After the storm passed, we hurriedly recovered the section that had been blown back and re-installed it. It had been bungled. Yes, I will purchase another when the need arises!.
Tarp with a lot of weight on it. It's mounted on a frame and used to cover my horses' hay. I was prepared to return this after reading the reviews, but mine arrived in perfect condition, with no grommet issues or other flaws. br>I'm not sure if quality control has improved or if I was just lucky. br>If you're in need of one, I'd say go for it; if it arrives defective, return it.
I'm sure their guarantee is valid, but I needed the tarp right away and decided to keep it. I don't believe my problems are unique after reading other reviews. The grommet and quality control story is told in pictures. It's not super heavy duty; at best, it's heavy duty. 16mil? Maybe my micrometer is off, but I'm getting closer to a score of ten. I have a tarp that is twice as thick, so I guess that makes it super duper heavy duty? In comparison to Lowes tarps, we'll see how long it lasts. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. LEAKS EXTREMELY BADLY. 7/12/20 I needed to repair the roof on my truck camper, so I used this POS! br>I just finished mopping the floor and it wasn't even a bad storm. I didn't want to risk it on a low-cost tarp from Lowes. Lowe's would have been a better option. ENTIRELY WRONG!.
br>Quality control is extremely poor for the following two reasons. To begin with, the delivered product's measurements differ from those I requested. I ordered a pool cover that is 24 ft x 36 ft to cover an in-ground pool with existing anchor points that are 25 ft x 38 ft. The tarp that was delivered was 25 feet long and 38 feet wide. This would have been fine if there hadn't been no room for tensioning straps to be attached. I ended up securing three sides and running additional straps across the pool to hold down the fourth. br>The grommets are another issue I'm having. Some people actually pinch the rope at the edge, while others are more than an inch away.
Waterproof is claimed for this tarp. However, even though it was completely straight and tied down, it leaked in a medium rain. When viewed against the light, small holes can be seen, which are not punctures but rather gaps between material threads. Water also manages to get in. If you need water protection, this tarp is not for you.
What's the harm in sending out defective goods? Obviously, there is no quality control. There was no inspection of the grommets because they were clearly defective. The item is rendered useless for attaching bungie cords or guidelines due to hole misplacement and missing grommets. br>Extremely dissatisfying, especially after the delivery delay.
