Questions & Answers

Do you have a ladder that fits 40'?

There was approximately 12 feet of excess that I had to cut off of a 28 footer The ladder should be able to work on a 40' stepladder.

In the case where the loop had already been crimped, how is it supposed to be slipped over the rung? Is the aluminum double ferrule that you use for easy screw-in included with this kit?

Installing the rope is outlined in a diagram that is provided with My memory is that you create a loop knot on the rung by placing the loop over the rung and inserting the rope into the loop. In order to secure it, you can tie a knot like two half-hitches on the other end.

Obviously, the rope needs to be long, but how long is it? We measure ladder length in feet, and not ladder length in meters. ?

Its approximate size is 20 x 12 x 5 inches. An object that measures 40ft long and weighs 400 lbs. There is a single ladder size for ladders up to 40 feet.

The rope looks a bit colorful, but what is it ?

There seems to be a polyester rope in this picture. This is an extremely strong, durable material.

Exactly what I was looking for
5/5

A nylon rope was not working on my Werner extension ladder with a 20' extension. Getting this one is the best option. There was some rope that needed to be cut out so that it could fit up to a Werner ladder 40'. It wouldn't do you any good if you did The cut end of the rope was melted with a match as instructed before I threaded it through the pulley to prevent fraying. Having melted one end, the other could not be threaded through (too large) so I had to cut it off, thread it through a pulley, then thread it through the hole. The end was melting.

A photo of the package kit is supplied with the model number Fig. 2 shows a Replacement Rope with two aluminum ferrules. One is precrimped with a loop, and the other is double aluminum, which goes through on one side and has an open ferrule on the opposite side, just like when the ladder There is no second 2-foot rope included with the second 2-foot unit This ferrule has a two-sided shape. Can they be included at a low price?.

Rope, that's what it is
5/5

Prior to replacing my ladder's rope with a braided one with a core, I had used a braided rope. The rope lasted for many years, and if the pulley hadn't been damaged and the rope didn't constantly slip off or catch on the pulley, I wouldn't have tried to find Due to the need to replace the pulley I decided to get a new rope, and this type of rope comes standard on ladders. Considering that I can get the same quality of rope for the same price as 50 feet of cheap braided rope (with a core) plus the excess I didn't need, I decided to give this a try. It's fine. I'm not one of those ladder super fans who races to see how fast they can get their ladder up and down, but I have read reviews that say this type of rope can burn you if you lower it too fast or becomes splintered with age. Then, if I need to replace it again, I will probably look around for a softer, nicer, real braided rope (without a core in the middle), like a boat dock line, and if the price is not too high, I will use it.

I found it to be effective

As far as I can tell, it does what it has been designed There is this little pulley broken at the top of my ladder of 28 feet. All the equipment was about 40 years old, so I decided it was time to replace it. Luckily, I found a real pulley to use (not the cheap little thing that came with the ladder, although that did last for used this rope to replace the old frayed rope that was on the ladder after I adapted the pulley. I'm happy to report that everything is working well I look forward to another 40 years of good health.

The product I ordered was exactly as described
5/5

I was surprised at how quickly I received it. My original plan had been to buy some rope at my local hardware store and make my own. I was delighted to find that this worked exactly as I imagined. If I had done that, I would have ended up spending about three times as much as I did for the genuine replacement, and I would have never been satisfied with If you are on a ladder, you do not want to be thinking about stuff like that.

It's nice to have a replacement of the exact same item
5/5

I deployed my ladder and the rope ended up breaking halfway up. (Even though I installed it on the wrong rung)
This replacement was easy to install and has worked well for me. To avoid having to relocate the loop end, I advise that you do not trim the ladder to its full extent until it is actually fully extended.

The quality of what you buy is what you get

Despite it's cheap price, it began fraying as soon as it arrived this is why I often don't buy things online. I couldn't tell when it arrived, but was in a bind and had to use the rope, but I will replace it for safety reasons.

Replacing it is easy, even if it is expensive
4/5

I understand that this rope and clamp are costly, but my employer wants to use OEM rope from Werner. This is an easy to install product, just trim the excess about 2 rungs up and burn the end I've used this to replace the ropes on ladders that are 20, 24, and 28' high.
