Protect during transport The load straps provide an added layer of protection. When installed on a trailer with an underlaid neoprene pad and a plastic-coated cambuckle, your boat will be protected from scratches.

There are 1 cargo straps in each car. Please see the technical data below. There is a strap that is 1 inch wide and 6 feet long. It has been tested according to the European Standard DIN EN 12195-2 (enables Strong enough to break at 1100 lbs, yet strong enough to work at 367 lbs. Made from sturdy polyester, the webbing is strong and durable.

Are the webbing and cam buckle able to fit through each other well?

These cam buckles aren't webbing, but the strap is cut at an angle so that the tip fits through easier, and you then just pull it through as it is. You will find that the straps become easier to use as you continue to use them. Additionally, I have nite eyez cam buckles, which perform in a similar manner

If these are spring loaded, do I only need to pull down on the loose end to lash them? When you are finished pressing the button, do you release it?

My nylon braid rope tie was too weak to hold these straps - I purchased these instead The downs did not stay tight, causing my canoe to shift while it was on the The tie down straps are easy to use, they tighten down firmly, and are easy to release after use. This is my first trip using my canoe and I thoroughly enjoyed it. These tie downs are perfectly suited for use with canoes and kayaks due to their padding. It is a product I would highly recommend.

One thing that I wish they were longer is six inches. The length of 2ft would be a bit long, but my application calls for a shorter length. As long as they're made in this size, I'll take them.

Similar to these, I bought a variety of tie down straps for my car. There are others that require some difficulty threading the tip through the cam buckle, but the Valonic straps are EASY TO THREAD, which saves time and aggravation. It seems that the Valonic straps are made from a superior material The strap itself and the cam buckle are both made of leather. They hold extremely well as I use them to tie down a large kayak to crossbars - they are excellent! My experience with these so far has been great and I just bought an additional set to replace a different brand of straps I had bought before.
