The following is a message from Jake of In Taiwan, we manufacture this set.
The tools manufactured by Tekton are made in the Republic of China. The Taiwanese.
As per the description, I believe it says so. About 12 inches is the length of the 3/8ths ratchet I know. Unlike most "standard" size ratchets without the swivel head, this one is a little longer.
According to the tool, Taiwan might be China or the United States might be the United States

You might want to keep this from Tekton, but they might charge more than they do now. 3) 3x more, including some of your favorite tool truck and boutique brands. Their weight and balance feel substantial yet well matched. There seems to be a nice click as the flex heads lock into their detent positions. The only way to tell is to watch the time, but I don't believe A nice finish and nice construction appear to have been given to them- No burrs, even finish that cleans up with a damp cloth. In terms of build, these are like the Industrial brand) ratchets, but they have more teeth, which makes them a little more functional because of the smaller arc required as opposed to the Several noteworthy items In addition to the responsive and very helpful response I received from the Tekton online customer service, I received a quick response from the Tekton online tool support. Customer support was just as impressed when I called them on the phone. In my understanding, that is how Tekton conducts business, and I was confident that their products will be backed by the company. The following additional commentary is provided While Tekton does not make all of its products in the US, many are manufactured here, and the company is based in the US. My dad tells me daily to buy US or German products I can hear his voice in my head. It is made of tools. The idea would be well received by him. If my kids move out and start filling their own toolboxes with tools when they're old enough, I can see this ratchet set being a good place to start wrenching on cars (outside of an impact socket set and ratcheting wrench set).
One of my coworkers told me a lot about this tool company, so I decided to buy their ratchets. Apparently, they offer a lifetime warranty on all of their tools, and from what I've read online, it seems to be easy to get service. A few of their tools are made in the United States, while others are made abroad. Made in Taiwan, these ratchets attach to a range of items. Considering the price of less than $20 per piece, these are a great value. These devices have excellent chrome finishes, they are comfortable in the hand, and they perform very well. This is a far better brand than the equivalent offshore brand.
I bought a few Tektron tools to put together a "to go" tool kit since my tools are in large tool cabinets in my garage. I wanted them all to be the same so that none of my USA made Craftsman tools would be lost. It turns out I like them more than I expected. They are well built tools for a good price, I think they are the best hand tools for the home.
My guess is that I could get them buttery smooth if I disassembled them a little bit and gave them some TLC. They're fine right out of the box, but they're not that special either. It is not revolutionary, but is rather "reasonable" in all aspects. The following are some examples of things that aren't perfectly perfect but reasonably good and satisfying Despite not experiencing anything that made me think they're legendary, neither have I found anything disappointing. There are some minor imperfections in the balance, backlash, ratcheting mechanism clicks, size, overall shape, and overall weight, but nothing that make me think they're bad. They're good tools, and hopefully they'll prove to be as durable as they feel like they should be, but.
I have purchased several ratchets previously, but these are hands down the best I have ever bought. This is like getting two icon ratchets for the price of one, but with a better design with the directional level recessed to almost flush so it doesn't reverse direction when bumped into It comes with a great warranty as well! The purchase of Tekton will continue in the future.
My opinion is that these three are among the best. In saying that, I haven't even had them a year yet and I'm no longer a mechanic. At the same time, I keep up with both my and my wife's vehicles. The kids' are not as good, but it seems they are solidly built. 90 teeth is not 120, but it does seem to be the closest you will get to the one I see. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Despite the fact that I haven't had em for very long, the sole reason for my 4 star rating is that I don't like the socket rails.
It helps prevent you from overtightening spark plugs in tight spaces since it has a short handle. I liked it because the short handle prevents me from overtightening. Despite not having driven many miles on this one yet, it feels sturdy and of good quality, so I expect it will last me the duration of my life, if not all. As I no longer need to fix old broken stuff, I have found that Theton stuff has been of excellent assistance to me. It is certainly possible to want higher quality if you do things for a living, but it is not always the case. It's possible that they will do the job.
My growing collection of Tekton tools has been a real pleasure for me. Tekton has made very strong tools that usually rank among the best in torture tests. I have watched several torture test videos with various brands and Tekton is usually at the top of the list.
