It's just a cleaner backside, and it's possible to apply pressure from the back of the ratchet to keep the socket from slipping out. It is barely noticeable that there is a difference in height. My personal preference is seldom to do this because the socket is incredibly difficult to take off, especially when you're wearing grease or oil on your hands. It may be that this is my snapped- Flex head or this Tekton non-flex head In most cases, a nylon trim tool is needed to release a socket after quick release. My old school way of releasing a socket is to push the button, and the socket will drop in my hand. It takes one hand to release a socket, not two. Faster and more convenient than the standard release, I enjoy Quick Release.
Neither lubrication nor maintenance is required for these ratchets.
That doesn't matter, it's an amazing ratchet and it's my go-to. In my career as an electrician, this device has brought me so much money regardless of where it was made
You should contact Tetron to have a new one shipped to you for free if they discover that you did not abuse your old one. They will ask you for pictures and a description. It replaced an extra long double ratcheting wrench that was covered by the warranty.

It's very convenient for me to pick up tools and supplies from the Snap-On truck since I'm a diesel mechanic. There are some things you can't pass, so I'll try it for this price. The ratchet above is worth significantly more than its price. My trust in Tekton tools has earned my respect and I have bought their tools in the past and will buy them again.
For the 95 Ford Explorer, you will need to replace the spark plugs as follows It is necessary to use a bent handle ratchet when working on a 2000 SOHC engine. In my 1997 Explorer with a SOHC engine, I replaced the plugs a few years ago with a regular straight handle ratchet. I can't believe how difficult it was. The next time it went wrong I vowed I would pay someone. Flash forward a few years (RIP '97), I am now driving a 2000 Explorer, and the plugs needed replacing. At first I was prepared to pay someone to tune up the vehicle. Then I found the bent handle on the As a result, I let the ratchet and all the parts sit for more than a year, for fear that I would again have to deal with a nightmare of a job. I was very surprised at the quality of this tool. Yes, there are still a few problems with the angles but when I used the right extension and a bit of patience I got the job done (or at least relatively quickly for me 3 hours) with zero swear words.
In place of my Husky offset wrench, I replaced it with a Tekton offset wrench. There are many similarities in terms of appearance, but this has more teeth. The product I bought is great.
My GMC Sierra came with an inconveniently located oil pressure sensor, so I switched it out using this. In no time at all, I was able to accomplish a difficult task.
Does the job. There is no such thing as a good flex detent when the flex design is so horribly designed. The flex head of a tool truck brand flexes to half its width between clicks, as opposed to other non-tool truck brand flex heads. There is no sense in this. It would have worked five times better if we had used a simple ball. The one major flaw was what gave it all one star. As soon as you press the release button, the ratchet head should remain in its original position. I have every other quick release flex head ratchet I own that does this. Having purchased this tool, I am unable to recommend it to any of my friends or colleagues at this time. One of the most disappointing things is that Tekton had excellent reviews online, which is why I decided to use them.
There is no other warranty process that I have encountered that is so simple! It is the warranty that makes this manufacturer stand out from the crowd! An email with information about the picture mailing and replacement has been sent. They did not even require me to set up an account. The money you spend is well worth it!.
This ratchet caught my eye while I was looking at the other makers. Despite my search, it was the closest I could find - so close I assumed it must Because the price delivered to my door was $30, I decided to give it a try. Form is the determining factor in which I buy tools. The fit and function of the garment. The hype associated with brands should not be based on Making the product in the USA receives a very big preference, however, but not as much as it should. I wasn't able to find a NOS craftsman for less money, but I did purchase one. Based on comparison, I found the Tekton handle to be about a half inch longer than the Cobra handle. In effect, it has done everything the craftsman did, but only time can decide if it will be worth the effort. This is a product I like enough to purchase the 1/2" version as well.
Please accept my apologies if my reference to other brands offended you This type of 3/8 ratchet has a nice small head and is as thin as the husky extendable and a little thinner than the craftsman version. Furthermore, the husky is two inches shorter than the craftsman at full length, but two inches longer than the craftsman. I am very pleased with the finish. During the articulating process, the head can be moved into nine different It would have been nice if the articulating spring had been stronger so that the positions would have been This handle grip has a very comfortable feel to it. It is unlikely you will be pinched by the articulating head, but it is possible and therefore you should be careful.
