Ratchet has a great price to quality ratio
4/5

It is just a heads up that this ratchet has no grease in it, and only a light coat of oil. All purchasers of this ratchet should open it up and grease it so that it won't rust or seize. In my opinion, this Tekton ratchet is far superior than the gearwrench, which does not have a quick release feature and only offers a lousy Even though Tekton still lacks the quality of Snap On, it's still better than it was before. There might be differences in mileage between you and me. This is my 1st Tekton tool and probably won't be my last. I'm done buying Snap-On tools. As long as you use it for the purpose it was intended for and maintain it as needed, I can see this tool lasting for a very long time. In light of this tool, I have decided to forgo the truck, as it has provided me with enough savings to make me consider leaving it.

The ratchet I purchased was to replace a Sears Craftsman 3/8" ratchet that had broken
5/5

I ordered this ratchet because it is high quality and reasonable priced. All of the old Craftsman tools I had were from the United States. Tools made by Craftsman in China are of a low quality, according to me. In contrast to the Craftsman made ratchet, this Tekton ratchet has 92 gear teeth rather than 72. There are four teeth on the China ratchet This arc works well for right spaces, because it has a 180-degree working angle. Swivel heads are great, I'm really fond of them. The chrome finish on this tool makes it appear like it will last for a very long time. For my car, I used it to change the spark plugs. In general, ratcheting is a good thing-- Work is made more pleasant by the sounds of fine gears meshing. By holding a button on the ratchet head, you can easily detach or attach sockets and An easy way to tell whether a tool is good is to use it. Quality tool, and this is one. There are many Taiwanese manufacturers of this product A lot of great stuff comes from Cold Steel (like For many years to come, this ratchet is expected to provide excellent service. Over a Craftsman, I'm glad I chose this ratchet!.

There are 3 sizes in my collection and I love them all
5/5

We have Texton flex head quick release ratchets in sizes 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2. The quality is as good as ever from The feeling is very good, and it looks very nice as well. This product is priced very well. Both these and the Capri flex head ratchets are in my collection. They are both great tools, each with their own functions Because the Tektons come in shorter sizes, that can be a pro or a con, since a flex ratchet is often used in tight or awkward spaces. Therefore, since the Tektons are smaller, they may be more practical in these situations as well. In addition to semilocking indexing for the Flex heads, they have a nice feature that the Capri does not have. Although these Capris do not flop around without this feature, they are tight. They are my go-to for everyday ratchets, but I also grab the shorter Tektons in tight spots. The Capris are somewhat longer, and provide great leverage, and you know this tool is going to hold up when you need it the most. Only because I work mainly on bigger equipment such as trucks and tractors does the length often help me. It's a beautiful and high quality set of Tektons and Capris. They feel great, hold up well, are easy to tighten, come with a hassle free life-time warranty, and are a joy to wear. As far as lengths go, I will say that the 1/4 of both is almost identical. They are a great deal cheaper than tool trucks and can put up with any set of tool trucks.

Flexibility is way too great
3/5

There is just something wrong with this. Even if you're attaching a bolt to a stack of pillows, you could end up breaking your knuckles. Flopping around is not what flex should be about.

I don't think it's Gearwrench, but it'll be enough
4/5

In my search for ratchets, I was looking for something that would be similar to the Gearwrench ratchets I own already We are currently unable to find a 3/8 ratchet with this exact handle length from GW. This is the reason for my purchase of the Tekton product. In general, the two brands are similar, but I feel the GW brand is significantly better in quality, specifically with regards to how the I got a little disappointed with Tekton's flex head lock. It felt unrefined and not very strong. It is the same style lock on all the EZ Red ratchets and their durability has been terrible for me so far.

The head has a nice thin profile and is of good quality
5/5

This is what I have been using in my shop for the past three days to repair the Honda pilot steering columns The shop's duties range from knock sensors to valve cover gaskets, and from intake valley gaskets for an H2 Hummer to many other projects. With the thin profile design of the head I was looking for, the coil pack rack had been a breeze to install on the h2 rear bolt. Furthermore, it saved us from having to remove the pilot steering column shaft bolt from its tight location. One consolation is that the flexible head doesn't have a lock on it like the 1/4 in ratchet on my boss's bench. In addition to replacing my maco and strapon tools with tekton tools, I may also replace the rest of my tools with tekton.

I continue to be impressed with the look and quality of these tools
5/5

We test this flex head ratchet to make sure it is strong and durable and will last long. In a gradual process, I am replacing all of my craftsman tools with hand tools from Tekton I have been happy with every tool that I have used from them. This ratchet is especially impressive to The pipe on the end of the tool is strong enough to hold way beyond what I expected and I have even used this against rusted bolts to break them free. can be positioned securely while still allowing you to move it as necessary. It does not come with any detents, so you can position it almost anywhere you like. Despite its relatively low price, this is a great tool.

This tool earned its place in my tool bag, but it is not my daily driver because of one quirk
4/5

It is an incredible value when considering the quality of its build compared to its price. I would recommend it to anyone due to its reasonable price and the ease of taking it apart and putting it back together. There is only one thing wrong with the flex head mechanism on this particular ratchet, as it is far too loose, and it often moves when used. This device would have been better if there were a locking mechanism. Despite that, it is still an excellent tool for the amount of It is a good course to take if you want to work in mechanical fields. The Tekton brand is a safe brand to build a collection around.
